My husband and I both worked so he's made many meals, cleaning, and did plenty of laundry. But then I didn't married a man child, but a true life partner. I also commuted an hour and he worked five minutes from home, so he always got home before me. He picked up the kids from school. He was the best man in the world. We were married 24 years before I lost him to a heart attack. I desperately miss his laugh, he truly enjoyed life.

MIL doesn't understand the meaning of housewife. I am both a SAHM and disabled. I do not work outside of the home. My daughter is an Analyst she works the normal 40 hours a week, and she is NOT a housewife. She and her wife do chores equally. I became a SAHM in 2005 when my disability worsened. When I worked full-time, my husband and I split the chores evenly. When I stopped working, I took on more of the chores, but my husband STILL helped/s around the house. Load and unload the dishwasher, do laundry, and clean 3 of our 5 bathrooms. However, since our twins are now 22, and our youngest is 15, everyone helps with chores. This MIL is ridiculous.

Mil needs to practice what she says. Being rude and talking down to your daughter in law is so messed up. You go into their house unannounced and steal company property lucky the company doesn't send you to jail. The son needs to step up and put his mom in her place

If MILs are causing their DILs problams, why are are DILs bothering to call them "Mother"? I loves my MIL so I called her Mom. A friend hated her MIL and addressed her very formally and very coldly as "Mrs. Charles" all her life. Drove her MIL nuts as my friend was on very warm first name terms with the rest of her husbands family, including her FIL, Joe.

My grandmother used to drive by our apartment in the morning and call my mother - asking if my dad had had breakfast, went to work, went to class… Mom’s second husband’s mother was dead. She was much happier.

I really don't understand a woman who doesn't work, brings no income home, depends on someone else to bring home money.. looking down on someone who's making their own money... it's good she wants to be a housewife, good for her.. but most women don't want to be🤷🏾‍♀️... it's a unpaid, underappreciated job.. why is she bragging as if she's running a fortune 500 company?.. it's obvious she's not happy with her and she's jealous of DIL success.. she probably wasn't/couldn't be half the success her DIL (probably why she gave it up so easily) and is taking her misplaced anger out on her.. she's miserable and want company in her misery..
