A lot of these channel's ideas of 'translating' is to just use non-Japanese names on the characters. They still don't bother to look at the Western culture they're aiming at - we don't do 'kowtowing' here, but all of these channels have the antagonists get on their hands and knees, bowing to the ground in apology. Ridiculous effort.
