THANK YOU! For some unknown reason, my iPhone 12 stopped working as expected after 2 ½ years. Your video was the one that finally fixed my phone connectivity issue in my 2021 Rogue after two or more months of doing research on the internet, visiting a local iPhone store, working with iPhone support, etc. All other iPhone worked in my car but mine. My connection via USB was erratic as well as the connection via blue tooth and I was about to give up. I did all the steps recommended by others, but it was not until I reset my radio to the original factory settings and I finally could connect without any issues again! Bought a brand new Nissan & they couldn’t fix the Apple car play so they put in a whole new system. Worked for a few weeks then back to the same issue. I’ve done everything you mentioned except restore to factory settings. Brand new cables, newish phone, restarted phone, restarted car, apple updates. I now want to just trade in my car lol

Hi. My carplay just stopped playing. Before watching this video, I performed all the troubleshooting you mention. :) My Rogue doesn't even pop use in the CarPlay settings of my iphone. Consequently my phone only plays as Blue Tooth.

@carsunlocked, I have a Nissan Juke Nismo 1998 Limited Edition model and the nissan dealer said it was exported from Japan. I have been unable to connect Apple Carplay since the app buttonsays to download NissanConnect App and require me to input VIN (Vehicle Registration Number), which I have already did but the NissanConnect App does not recognize. So frustrating that until now I could not use navigation on my car. Greatly appreciated your help to address my years long problem. Thank you in advance bro.

I love your videos!!! My issue is: I am unable to get my car's screen to wirelessly show CarPlay so that my Google or Apple Maps shows up. I have no luck, I tried them all. My car was working apple car play for 3+ years fine, after one day it wasn’t connecting so I deleted the connection, then it’s been a couple of weeks trying to reconnect but still not working without cable. It does works fine with cable, but once I disconnect the usb c cable, then the apple car play is grey out and I’m only able to use Bluetooth audio

I have a cord to charge and use wireless CarPlay. When I went to answer a call or listen to a text this morning the wireless CarPlay disconnected and started using my phone. I had to go back in and reconnect my phone under connections only for it to disconnect again when trying to make a call or listen/talk to text. Playing music or listening to podcasts didn’t cause it to disconnect. Trying to figure out what happened all of a sudden.

I have a 2022 Infiniti QX50 and and iPhone 15. My apple car play worked perfectly til about a month ago. Now maps will no longer find routes. Have talked to Apple support and have had to the dealership, dealership says firmware is up to date and working properly. Apple support seems to be stumped. Any ideas? Get an error message on CarPlay screen “route cannot be shown as problem connecting to server”

I found out the issue I was having was my chargeable phone case. Sometimes the phone case would connect to Apple CarPlay and sometimes it would not. So that could be an issue people have.

I can get carplay through USB, but I cannot get wireless anymore. I had to take my 2023 frontier in for them to replace the display unit because the original had a defect. Once it was replaced, the new one doesn't do wireless carplay anymore. I did try all these suggested solutions aside from restoring my settings to default. The technicians at the dealership were unable to figure it out either. When I tried to do a firmware update it doesn't tell me if mine is up to date or offer an update for me to download and install. Any thoughts?

Go to your iPhone settings>general>carplay, make sure the car play option is turned on. It will enable wireless careplay

Just this morning, I got in my Murano, Carplay turned on fine, was listening to music, I had to make a stop, so I unplugged my phone (didn't turn the car off) but when I went to plug my phone back in it all of a sudden started saying "no usb device connected" so I turned my phone off/on, turned the car off/on, reconnected it and it says "no usb memory" and "no device connected" and no matter what I do it won't connect. I'm using a 16 pro max with usb-c and I have a 2018. Will try the factory reset when I get off work and see if that fixes it. It's just so weird that it worked one second and then the next, nothing. T_T

My problem I have is it will connect, but take a while to start audible or Spotify, and it won’t let me take a call or here Siri at all, and once a call or Siri comes up with no sound, it stops all sound afterwards. No idea why but it started once I downloaded the iOS 17 updates.

My CarPlay works except for the maps. As soon as I get in the car a VW. The internet no longer works. I have been to see the apple genius’s. They did a complete reinstall on the phone. It still doesn’t work. I get a white screen with grid lines. It also says “using offline maps”. The VW sat nave works fine , it’s just the phone satnav that doesn’t. I am using an iPhone 15pro

So I ran into an issue that wasn’t discussed in the video. I picked up a rental (Nissan Sentra), and for my first few attempts at getting Apple Car Play initialized it wouldn’t work. Eventually I discovered that my rental car has too many iPhones profiles from previous drivers saved in its database (it can only save up to six drivers). So I went into the settings, deleted one of the older profiles, and boom, Car Play suddenly connected and worked.

Today I received my 2024 pathfinder platinum. It says it is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay but I can’t use CarPlay. WiFi and Bluetooth turned ON on my iPhone (latest software) Then the phone connects successfully to the car and I can play music, answer calls from it. The problem begins with the CarPlay screen not showing, just the Nissan’s standard menu. When I go to connections a message “need to turn on wifi to continue” appears and I click on continue but NOTHING happens. The CarPlay screen only shows up when I connect the usb cable but that is not the solution I want. What can I do? Need your help
