Hi Malika! Thanks for your kind comment. I wouldn't personally recommend it, as milk is much thinner than buttermilk, and doesn't have the same tenderizing effect. If absolutely necessary, you could use a buttermilk substitute (for this recipe, place 1 tablespoon + 1.5 teaspoons of lemon juice in a measuring cup, then add milk until it reaches 1.5 cups total). Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes before using. The batter will be a bit thinner, so you might have a touch extra, but it should still turn out! Hope this helps!
