Apple & Cinnamon scones in two cosori air fryers.

Apple and Cinnamon scones the book said oven bake 210c 10/12 minutes but we tried lower at 160c for 35 minutes then check
Ingredients
500g self raising flour
140g butter cubed
90g caster sugar.
1 large apple
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 egg
200 ml milk (we used about half)

Hi Sean, that’s the trouble with work, there’s always someone trying to spoil it. This will make you smile mate. I used to take cake Wendy had made to work and a manager didn’t like it. Hi, we have tried to keep the temperature down a little to give them chance to cook through and not burn. Did you see how ours were nicely cooked underneath. Having said that it’s all a trial and I think a little hotter would be good. Airfryers can be a little fierce. That’s a good comment thank you. These look lovely I made some fruit scones the other day while on the live with you the recipe said 8 mins on 180 I did a little lower at 170 and they took about 12-15 mins I was so pleased with them so light and fluffy, one thing they said to do was a squirt of lemon juice which helps them rise and baking powder

Hi Christine, the 220 is what put me off. We always seem to be cooking in a rush with the air fryers. It was more of an experiment to see how they cooked and they did cook nice, I think like you 180/190 is a good temperature for scones. Thank you Christine, for all your help 😍🥰❤️😘👍

They look grand.... The weird Oat loaf/cake I made has lasted well so next round will add in things like chopped nuts and cherries and see how it freezes and defrosts but it is a great wee thing for quick energy boost. I had a busy day making a Indian based soup for weekend and a base sauce for pasta, meatballs, lasagne, chillies... house smells devine. Husband still not well but got up to taste test..... I blew his cobwebs away with Chilli in sauce😂... I eat Chillies raw so hotter the better but he is I think I might need yoghurt with that 🤦‍♀️ I have fingers crossed no more disasters today I would like a quiet evening and possibly get some sleep.

I usually Cook on 190 for 15 minutes in kasuri air fry oven 😀 Sorry about last night I logged onto your live chat 5 minutes into it my sister came round to see me so did not see the rest. Hi Sharon, I think 190 is plenty hot enough. I will give it a go Sharon, the things is the cosori oven is good and flexible which gives a little room to try things. I would have turned off too if you came round so don’t worry it was nice of you to join us at all 👏👏👏😍🥰❤️😘

Hi Andy, there’s one way to find out, it could be personal preference really. Our cherry scones cooked at 140 we thought were better than the ones at 180. Let me know how how you get on 👏👏👏👌👍
