I despise people like that. Because of people like him you can't get any kind of a decent deal on anything at a flea market or thrift shop anymore. • 2:45 - Ugh, indeed; many people don't know to check for _completed_ listings to see the _actual_ going rate for stuff. • 3:45 - "rare and vintage" spreads faster on eBay than stage-4 cancer. ¬_¬ • 5:11 - THANK YOU! This is almost identical to what I've been saying for years (in my example, I say a scribble or drawing rather than a signature, which might have value as an autograph). Also, "vintage" doesn't mean much either; a rock from my backyard is a BILLION years old, but I doubt many people would be willing to pay $1million for it. 🙄 • 5:40 - At least this guy tried to fake a reason for putting "rare" and "vintage" on his listings, most people just throw them on automatically. I've seen video-games that were less than 10 years old listed as "vintage" and games listed as "rare" despite there being a sticker saying "bestseller" or "10,000,000 copies sold" right on it. 🤦 • 6:52 - That positive feedback is legit too, it's not the general "thankyou! a+++++++++++++++ buyer would buyagain!!!!!!" you see 99% of the time from most people on eBay. In fact, it's a little _too_ legit and relevant… 🤔 • 7:29 - Pft, you've obviously not seen some of the so-called "humans" I've seen/read of; some are legitimately monsters. • 8:15 - I've seen numerous North American sellers who obviously buy cheap stuff on eBay form Chinese sellers, then re-sell them for orders of magnitude more. 🙄 (And I'm not even talking about Souljaboy, he didn't even buy and re-sell them, his employee would just process orders for the "Soulja console" by putting in an order with a Chinese seller and just setting your address as the shipping address; "Soulja Games" never even sees them. ¬_¬)

It's similar to highly-priced out-of-print books I see occasionally on Amazon. The seller wants something ridiculous. I hadn't thought that maybe they want to haggle over it, starting at the top. As a regular ebay buyer & seller, I can inform on their policies making it nearly impossible to leave a negative feedback to sellers, if they sent the package & tracking shows it arrived on time. If the buyer is unhappy, the only recourse is to return the item (assuming seller accepts them) & wait for a refund once the seller gets the return. At no time was I able to leave negative FB, unless I had already contacted the seller for return & wasn't able to resolve the issue (ebay usually forced you to wait up to 2 weeks for the seller's response). I wonder if ebay only making money on items that stay sold & don't get returned (usually at ebay's expense) has anything to do with making refunds so difficult, something you have to contact ebay for...? 🤔🤔🤔

Thanks for talking about this stuff--this kind of info needs to be where ignorant people can easily find it, so they can learn how to protect themselves from dishonest sellers. When I see a seller use the word "vintage", I'm immediately suspicious. Why? Because, the way they use it, it means absolutely nothing. Properly, if you're going to call something vintage, you need to say what vintage it is, like "vintage 1973". It seems that most people are under the impression that the word means old, which is very definitely not the case. Also, the people selling things with ads that refer to the item as vintage are usually asking for a lot more for the item than you'll find honest people selling it for. There are a few other words the scum like to use, too, like "antique", or "collectable". Properly, if the item isn't at least a hundred years old, it isn't an antique...unless you're referring to a car, and even then, it's not really accurate. Hell, that means my car is an antique! It really gets on my nerves, when I see something advertised as "vintage", "antique" (except for things that are actually 100+ years old), or "collectable". The abuse of these, and similar, words has led to many ignorant people misunderstanding the meanings of words, and also leads to more and more people selling things using misleading language.

@@organiccold Yea but what this seller offers is just one google away to see the price (history) of the product and get an idea. And YES he is a scammer. 100% fact. But he is not a company. Just some one loser guy trying to scam people. Thats why it feels so "Personal" Like to use your influence to fight your battle. Not inform how to avoid scams or a company. Its just one guy.
