They tell the addressee to pay to collect from the mail office. I’ve had it once where someone sent something without sufficient postage. But different countries and situations might have different processes.

Very possible they put enough real postage to cover standard delivery and faked it to look like it had priority tracking postage. The handler probably saw the fake and just downgraded it.

This device does obay the laws of thermoflask. It simply has a concealed, mil-spec, nanotechnology thermo nuclear reactor that absorbs heat energy from the quantum realm and isolates the hydrogen atoms in the snow build up, thus converting it into pure oxygen which is what freshens the air in your car as it melt the snow. This has happened to me before, the reason your package took a month is because they used a fake label, got caught, probably got sent back to them and then they had to use real postage to send it to you.

I think we can guess that this is one of those dropship products since there are multiple pages on Social Media sites promoting this air freshener with false advertising. lol The part where they left that one graphic that said it's an air freshener when they're trying to advertise it as a snow melter.

I actually kind of like the design as an air freshener. Especially since you can use your own oils. Looks like a fun little thing to have on your dashboard. @@brandonroeder2461 I wanna say it's worth more than that at least because it comes with oils which can be spendy by themselves depending on the oil and quality, I actually thought it was legit a really cool idea. I think his reaction to the oils might be a cultural thing where maybe they really like some stronger more pungent scents in China, it could be he added too much, maybe it's supposed to just saturate the porous wood and release more slowly. I'd say $10 minimum with oils, maybe $3 without. That also looks like cedar, that alone when fresh might leave a scent and cedar is one of my favorites, you could always get a cedar oil too.

That's the thing with essential oils. They're highly concentrated so they're supposed to be diffused, not smelt up close. And don't forget the only reason they're called essential is because they have the "essence" of whatever they claim, not because they're actually essential (in the common meaning) to anything.

Hey Ken, if you want a good ice scraper, look for a brass ice scraper. The brass is soft enough that it won't scratch glass and thin enough that it forms to the curve of the windshield. I've been using one for years in MN winters and will never go back to the plastic ones. It even works great for thin frost if you don't want to wait for the defroster. Just keep in mind that the brass can scratch paint or damage trim so only use it on the windows.

Just a heads up… whenever something says it ships in a certain amount of time, that is not referring to the amount of time it’s going to take for that product to reach your door… that estimate is the amount of time it’s going to take for the product to leave THEIR doors… this is pretty much a universal truth🤷‍♂️

This this this. Almost no one understands what the processing time is. At the very least it's "we have 1000 orders ahead of yours to ship before we ship yours" assuming everything is already ready and in stock. Which at minimum requires printing off a packing slip, a shipping label, packing the item and labeling it and tossing it into the mail bin.

Ken's video answers his own question about what does it smell like -- at 2:27 the fourth ad states "Every breath as if in the forest. Turbine active fragrance, plant aldehyde removal fresh air." Seems like if they are going to include this in their ad, they should hype as an additional feature -- freshen your air as you remove snow.

My mother bought me one of these about 3 weeks ago. I can testify that it (1) does not melt anything. (2) Does freshen the air. (3) Does not work when it is overly cloudy. Like on a snowy day. @BrilliantDesignOnline Yep, I liked that one too. MY last one by that name lasted around eight seasons. My current one, called a SnowJoe is still going strong after six years, and I'm starting on its 7th season now. As far as not falling apart and the foam shredding, nothing yet. It's right on par with my old SnowBrum. I like Snow Joe more though, because of its poles and its stowage. It has three extensions... the one that threads into the broom, a second that acts as an extender, and the third that goes on the very end with a pretty decent basic scraper. When it comes time for stowage, it breaks down into the three poles, which all fit on top of the broom into a set of smallish plastic clips, which stays attached to the top of the broom.

Just a tip, a push broom is great for moving large amounts of snow off the top of a car quickly. I use that for heavy snowfalls before using the regular scraper/brush.

The spaceheater PSA is important! I had an opposite situation happen, in that it wasn't a space heater, but a 1.5kw portable AC unit. I was in a hotel at a time all their rooms were booked in a tropical climate. The room AC was broken and the room was swelteringly hot. The hotel had no spare room to move me to, so provided a stand up portable AC unit. They plugged it into an extension cord... all was well for about 5 minutes, until the extension cord started to melt and release its emergency alarm smoke into the room. Thank goodness we were awake when it happened as the cord could have easily reached the ignition temp of the floor it was on...

Here's an old school "hack" to clean snow off your car a lot faster: use a construction broom (a.k.a. push-type, those with a 45 degrees angled head and stiff plastic bristles). Preferably a new one, as you really don't want to rub dust and dirt all over the paint, also better with a wooden handle so you can easily cut it down to fit into the trunk.

You're lucky the "product" was delivered. I looked up counterfeit postage, they consider it to be "abandoned" and it's up to the post office if they choose to deliver it or not. Addendum to the PSA: It's perfectly fine to plug space heaters into both extension cords and power strips provided they are rated to handle the amp load of your heater. If you do not know the amp rating of your extension cord or power strip do not use them and instead plug directly into the wall socket. If you are using a power strip and have other devices plugged in, make sure the combined max amp draw does not exceed the amp load rating of the power strip.

I'm from the UK, and the same warnings definitely apply here as well. Although our present outlet standards (BS1362, 1950s) are newer than NEMA 5-15, we still have the same problems when it comes to overloaded extension cables and power strips. 🔥 „Daisy chained“ power strips are a common cause of electrical fires in British homes, and especially in cases where several daisy-chained cords terminate at a cluster of convection heaters! ♨

You can use an extension cord with a space heater if the wire in the cord is an appropriate gauge. A 10 gauge wire extension cord is perfectly safe to use it’s good up to 30 amps and home space heaters aren’t allowed to pull that much current even if they have access to the necessary voltage. Even a heavy duty worksite heater can use a 10 gauge cord. As long as the breaker trips before the cord reaches its current capacity it’s not a problem.

If you want to melt snow, spread a black plastic trash bag on top of it and give sunshine a day to work. Black absorbs energy from sunlight. Energy melts snow. Slowly. But it works. One can also spread a black plastic trash bag on the car windshield when snow is in the forecast, and that makes it easy to just peel the snow off along with the plastic after it falls.

16:30 actually you can. The issue? You need to assemble the extension cord for space heater yourself and make sure it has the correct gauge to handle the wattage, or alternatively buy an industrial one which has correct gauge. I made one for my washing machine with thick wire gauge and it worked fine ever since.

Apparently household microwaves don't heat ice even though they heat water, and the reason has to do with not being able to resonate the molecules of frozen water. My guess is that this is what they were referring to by "able to vibrate water even at the freezing point". It's still clearly not true, but maybe that is why they claimed it.

As a mail carrier, yeah counterfeit postage of cheap Chinese crap has been a real problem these past several years. It was super bad around 3 years ago, but it still happens. Most of it comes out of California or Texas. They edit a label together using a real barcode from a completely different package in the same general area so it gets shipped to the right sorting plant, and the return addresses are all bogus too, usually shipped out from Airbnb locations so our only real option is to deliver it. We used to collect postage on delivery which was lousy for the person who got scammed, but now we're just eating the costs I'm guessing since we have it more clamped down on than a few years ago.

I had my heater connected to a "smart" outlet rated for outdoor use for about 4 years. I have yet to die. But yes, in general, only connect heaters directly to the wall outlet. Bonus points of you use the outlet with the sideways thing.

Reason why fires happen due to extension cords is because most people do not use buy the appropriate wattage extension cord. I still would not use an extension cord for heaters the reason why fires happen is because of the heater being on all the time which requires a constant flow of electricity, so therefore the plug in a heater and b whenever you buy an extension cord, always make sure it can meet or exceed your voltage needs

Well, if you are really literal about it, they're correct, to a miniscule extent. Anything dark is going to warm up in the sunlight. A fraction of a degree. And if it spins, that is going to move air around. A very slight breeze at best. So they're not wrong. Not that it is going to melt a windshield of snow.

But they in their commercial, they do say it would generate heat or "cause air molecules to move violently". "move violently" - That's how you would describe water molecules at 100° C, but not air at 0° or lower, so it alleged to generate at least an ample amount of heat.

Essential oils nerd here, the reason the lemon orange smells like solvents is because it mostly is a solvent. Limonene or dipenteneis the primary smelly chemical in most citrus peels and also used as an industrial solvent, flavor additive, gallstone dissolving agent, insecticide/insect repellent, as well as many more uses. It is not meant to be smelled directly like that, rather diluted and put into a diffuser to fill a whole room with a fresh citrus scent. One drop of pure lemon peel extract should be enough to scent a medium room, multiple would probably leave you choking.
