I love huel, i get it all the time. Lived on mostly huel black shakes of different flavours for 2 years. Two shakes with two scoops a day, then a proper meal for dinner. What i will say is use a blender or hand blender in a jug first rather than just shake it or you end up with powder lumps. I also use milk instead of water to make it thicker and creamier. (Some of the flavours aren’t that nice with water but with milk they are some of the best complete food shakes out there) If anyone in the uk has had chocolate porridge or chocolate readybrek, the chocolate huel black tastes like that. I recommend chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberries and cream, cinnamon 😊

Yep. Apple Vision Pro is on a another level, kind of like how we went from corded phones to desktop pcs, to analog wireless phones, to flip phones, to smart phones. - I can imagine air traffic controllers and the military will find the Apple Vision Pro useful to show many screens simultaneously that are 150-400 inches each...that's a lot of information. - Current F16 figher helmets are $400k each with just a HUD, whereas the AVP could be incorporated into a helmet for far less than $400k. - Infantry soldiers wearing a helmet with the AVP. - AVP's passthrough is 120 degrees which allow real world interaction with the firearm, target, throwing/catching. - I want to get the Apple Vision Pro, it's not that expensive compared to a great home theater, and people don't realize that it's got eye tracking (no mouse cursor), an 8k screen, many many 300 in screens, 3D camera, spatial audio speakers, creates an Imax or the biggest commercial theater screen size even when you're sitting in a tight coach airline seat. - the eye tracking (replaced a cursor) is a game changer. - way easier to develop than Facebook Quest. - AVP is not constrained to a box game model like the Quest, instead the AVP world model is infinite. - air traffic controllers can see the perspective of a commercial plane pilot landing. - The AVP's many many virtual 150in-300in screens can replace a commercial airline cockpit's many physical screens, and that physical space can hold more important physical equipments.

Sadly I have to agree, with no 'Stand Out Feature', it is amazing and the best Visual experience I have ever seen. But for $3500 with nothing more special than one that can cost under $600, it's just not worth buying for the average consumer

Apple is not stupid, they know what they are doing, i think they don't even want to sell too many Apple Vision Pro, that's why the price is high, if they wanted too, they could have made it out of plastic, remove the front screen and so on, what they want to do is to get them to all the developers and learn from it, get some apps baking, improve the visionOS and come out with a cheaper version after. i guess Apple's master plan is to go to a sunglasses looking device with just the AR.

@@kekchanbiggestfan That's actually a bit counter to what Apple's common strategy is. This seems like a failure to follow through. The Vision Pro looked priced to be the unofficial dev kit that they could also get the enthusiasts to try. By releasing it to the wider audience with a low price, it would have lacked a lot of features AND had nearly no apps, so it would have had zero reason to get it over something like a Meta Quest 3, which is my go to headset right now even though I loathe Facebook/meta. The price to features of that headset is incredibly hard to beat.

You’d think a trillion dollar company could foresee this. The $3500 is and forever will be insane and idiotic, especially when it doesn’t have a clear case for usefulness. In order to even take full advantage of it, you need a MacBook. which makes it just a glorified expensive monitor. People make the argument that it’s for devs but then look at how it’s doing poorly and affecting their future plans. Which means they DO care about the trash sales. They included too many unnecessary things to make it more “premium”, shit that the end user doesn’t care about especially when it comes to user experience and critically comfort. Things like using heavy aluminum and glass, and that completely useless screen on the front that can “show your eyes” (it sucks and doesn’t look nearly as good as the ads, also creepy looking). They should’ve focused on making it as inexpensive, light, long lasting, and as small as possible. I know gaming isn’t their focus but that’s a huge miss for a VR headset (yes it’s VR, you’re not actually seeing the world, still an enclosed headset that simulates seeing real world with cameras. Quest has pass through cameras too) there’s also no physical controllers for games, the most popular and important software type for headsets. Therefore there’s no fun to be had on these things esp when games make the MOST use of an immersive experience. Nobody wants to play those shitty games with hand waving & pinching This product line needs a complete overhaul in priorities, I want it to do well but their execution and plan made no sense

Focussing resources on the development of a product with wider market appeal like an 'Apple Vision' makes a lot more sense than making AVP2 which again barely anyone would want to buy at that kind of price. One of the things thats making it hard to justify purchasing the 3.5k AVP is the relatively small and niche availability of apps for this device. On the flipside, app developers have a hard time justifying making apps because there are only a handful users that can or want to afford the device. Bringing a relatively inexpensive version to market to increase the user base will greatly boost app development, which in turn will also increase the value proposition for the AVP or AVP2. Its the right long-term play.

Maybe it was already the plan for apple even before releasing the Vision Pro. Or they at least had several plans in the pipeline and now execute the most appropriate one.

AVP is basically a very advanced prototype that was released primarily so developers could start developing for it. I suspect it's all part of the plan.

Biggest issue: the price. Bring it down to the cost of an iPhone, and I will buy it though it’s not really being sold in my country as of yet. The only people I can see using this are pros, hence the name. But pros are too busy using their Macs and PCs to care about VR/AR. The home consumers are kinda interested hence why Metaquest is still successful. If they bring the price down, they will get customers. Some people might say they have discontinued it according to some reports. Well other reports actually say theyre not working on a pro version but a consumer version and they’re hoping to get the price down to an iPhone pro. Do that, and improve the software specially with games and steam vr integration, and you’ll have a product in your hand for the consumers. They honestly should have focused on the average consumers over the pros first just like how Steve did with the macintosh. It’s still an interesting product with a future, they just need to understand who their target audience is (100% can tell you it’s not pros buying it for work)

There should be a consumer variety. Saw some renders of a cheap version that looked pretty good. Still expensive, but much more affordable.

I use mine primarily as a productivity tool. Usually for 30 minutes to an hour at a time and 1-2 times each day. I can tune out the rest of the world and the distractions that come with it. It’s fantastic in that regard however to truly make it work I had to add a Magic Keyboard bringing the cost to $3,999 plus tax. Am I more productive? Absolutely. As a content consumption device it’s amazing but after three weeks it hasn’t exactly paid for itself yet. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Could you please adress the lack of EQ adjustment on Spotify for Apple Watch? Seems to be a fair bit more people than myself that really want this function as airpods pro are dull out of the box. Spotify says that with enough demand they will implement this! Cheers from a nobody with a request!

Move all heavy compute to iPhone Remove HQ Audio and use it with AirPods if HQ is needed. Just sensors for gesture recognition and screen. May be move some gesture controls via Apple Watch when connected. Sell it as an accessory. Price it like an accessory.

Was the thumbnail a statement(!) or a question(?)? I foresee Vision Pro going the “HomePod-to-Mini-bring back HomePod” route. If “spatial computing” is ‘s ultimate goal, not just a “niche”, they will need hardware to reach the masses.

Ngl, love the design and software becuase damn when i used my friends own...its amazing. But the average joe aint buying it because of its niche and i think that altough apple did a great job, not many people are gonna even but a vr headst thats over 1000 dollars. I think that for a few years, vr isn't gonna work in apples favor.

It makes sense if they’re going back to the drawing board. Development for the current product is going to be sold for a long while, and developed. I can see them slow rolling the Vision Pro now after release.

I think $999 is the best price to get widespread adoption, but $1499 isn’t terrible. By the time you pay taxes and get accessories, you’re looking at around $2k. Still high, but not $4k high.

The main and only reason i’d want a vision pro for - unlimited screen real estate for working on my mac. And i would pay upto 1300 (or price of a high end display) for that. Essentially vision pro should only target gamers and professionals who need a lot of screen space to begin with. Then maybe it evolves into something more.

Apple Vision Pro is now my first most used device, with the in iPhone second place. I use it to do work across multiple windows, access both Mac and PCs, and hang out with friends in spatial FaceTime where we listen to music or teach each other things like how to use Xcode and Blender, almost nightly, for hours. I use FaceTime more now on a weekly basis than I’ve used FaceTime since it was invented. Socially it’s the single most transformative experience I’ve had with technology. Totally worth $3,500.

I think the heafty first price isn't even based on hardware, but mostly on the whole setup on the software environment. Once they got most of the costs earned back and the content on it is stable enough for a good daily experience, they can start to invest in cutting prices in both hardware and software to make it a more affordable must have. The issue is high cost, low market and thus not that interesting for alot of companys to spend additional software developer resources to create emersive and mostly valuable experiences/services.

You need to make the technology socially “desirable” before making it socially “affordable”. Whether you think AVP is desirable or not, at least that’s the spirit behind the iterations Apple is showing. Not that it is the lesson they tend to forget learning. 7:38

to be fair i want this thing to just be able to mirror my macbook screen so i can work on huge monitor anywhere + to watch movies on cinema mode and F1 races (have the main broadcast + onboard cams + lap times all around me at once), thats it. give me that for around 1k bucks and we have a deal. i dont need all that bullshit eye projection from the outside etc.

Maybe it’s good that they started with the Apple Vision Pro, just to show off what they’re capable of. A cheaper one would help to see what people are doing with a device like that.

I love my Apple Vision Pro but just like the Quest, I don’t really use it. I used it A LOT more when I had a MacBook, but I traded it in for a new iPad Pro since I preferred having something more portable. Once I pick up a Mac Mini or Studio later this year it’ll probably be used daily again. It feels like the ultimate companion to a complete ecosystem, but loses a lot of value without a Mac. I’ll get the cheaper one for sure, but I won’t ever get rid of my first gen Vision Pro. They missed the mark with a really cool product, hopefully it’s all up from here.

I had a 30 minute trial of the Apple Vision Pro at the Apple Store while on holiday in the US recently. (We haven’t got it in the UK yet, pre order opened today) it’s an amazing piece of tech but I couldn’t pay £3,500 for one!! I just don’t see myself using it enough to make it worth it.
