I love huel, i get it all the time. Lived on mostly huel black shakes of different flavours for 2 years. Two shakes with two scoops a day, then a proper meal for dinner. What i will say is use a blender or hand blender in a jug first rather than just shake it or you end up with powder lumps. I also use milk instead of water to make it thicker and creamier. (Some of the flavours aren’t that nice with water but with milk they are some of the best complete food shakes out there) If anyone in the uk has had chocolate porridge or chocolate readybrek, the chocolate huel black tastes like that. I recommend chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberries and cream, cinnamon 😊

You’d think a trillion dollar company could foresee this. The $3500 is and forever will be insane and idiotic, especially when it doesn’t have a clear case for usefulness. In order to even take full advantage of it, you need a MacBook. which makes it just a glorified expensive monitor. People make the argument that it’s for devs but then look at how it’s doing poorly and affecting their future plans. Which means they DO care about the trash sales. They included too many unnecessary things to make it more “premium”, shit that the end user doesn’t care about especially when it comes to user experience and critically comfort. Things like using heavy aluminum and glass, and that completely useless screen on the front that can “show your eyes” (it sucks and doesn’t look nearly as good as the ads, also creepy looking). They should’ve focused on making it as inexpensive, light, long lasting, and as small as possible. I know gaming isn’t their focus but that’s a huge miss for a VR headset (yes it’s VR, you’re not actually seeing the world, still an enclosed headset that simulates seeing real world with cameras. Quest has pass through cameras too) there’s also no physical controllers for games, the most popular and important software type for headsets. Therefore there’s no fun to be had on these things esp when games make the MOST use of an immersive experience. Nobody wants to play those shitty games with hand waving & pinching This product line needs a complete overhaul in priorities, I want it to do well but their execution and plan made no sense

@@kekchanbiggestfan That's actually a bit counter to what Apple's common strategy is. This seems like a failure to follow through. The Vision Pro looked priced to be the unofficial dev kit that they could also get the enthusiasts to try. By releasing it to the wider audience with a low price, it would have lacked a lot of features AND had nearly no apps, so it would have had zero reason to get it over something like a Meta Quest 3, which is my go to headset right now even though I loathe Facebook/meta. The price to features of that headset is incredibly hard to beat.

Focussing resources on the development of a product with wider market appeal like an 'Apple Vision' makes a lot more sense than making AVP2 which again barely anyone would want to buy at that kind of price. One of the things thats making it hard to justify purchasing the 3.5k AVP is the relatively small and niche availability of apps for this device. On the flipside, app developers have a hard time justifying making apps because there are only a handful users that can or want to afford the device. Bringing a relatively inexpensive version to market to increase the user base will greatly boost app development, which in turn will also increase the value proposition for the AVP or AVP2. Its the right long-term play.

The Vision Pro’s shortcomings were hard for the masses to swallow at a $3500 price tag (I just bought a motorcycle for that much), but for around $1500, it would be much better. I do think Apple needs to keep it UNDER $1500 though. Even $1600 just sounds a bit too much. Whereas I think anywhere from $800-1300 would get the masses very interested. Biggest issue: the price. Bring it down to the cost of an iPhone, and I will buy it though it’s not really being sold in my country as of yet. The only people I can see using this are pros, hence the name. But pros are too busy using their Macs and PCs to care about VR/AR. The home consumers are kinda interested hence why Metaquest is still successful. If they bring the price down, they will get customers. Some people might say they have discontinued it according to some reports. Well other reports actually say theyre not working on a pro version but a consumer version and they’re hoping to get the price down to an iPhone pro. Do that, and improve the software specially with games and steam vr integration, and you’ll have a product in your hand for the consumers. They honestly should have focused on the average consumers over the pros first just like how Steve did with the macintosh. It’s still an interesting product with a future, they just need to understand who their target audience is (100% can tell you it’s not pros buying it for work)

As a content consumption device it’s amazing but after three weeks it hasn’t exactly paid for itself yet. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Why do you say DING instead of thing or DAT instead of that all your T’s are D’s yet I hear you say the T in other words fine as long as it doesn’t start with a T it’s very odd

The thing that's bad about AVP is the price doesn't allow you to share it to someone i.e. multi user support. Shelling out multiples of 3500 for this isn't really not good. Oculus on the other hand can be used by multiple users

Move all heavy compute to iPhone Remove HQ Audio and use it with AirPods if HQ is needed. Just sensors for gesture recognition and screen. May be move some gesture controls via Apple Watch when connected. Sell it as an accessory. Price it like an accessory.

The thing didn’t work with my eyes when I tried it :(. Tried almost all of the accessible features too.

It’s a crazy show of power. Because technically no one dares or could do what is inside that piece of kit. It just shouldn’t have been a consumer product. This should have been workstation level, which it probably is.

Insight Meta also seems to be having the same issue even after the disaster of the Meta quest Pro. The quest 3 is putting up an average numbers, and it looks like most users want a headset around the price of the quest 2 for around $199. Now Leeks say meta is releasing a Quest 3 lite with the same processor and screen so it looks like both companies are trying to target the average consumer this time, and now that Meta has some how been able to copy all of visions pros unique features on the the less powerful quest 3 ( which is actually impressive) if they bring those features to a $199 headset along with the plethora of games and app support they have they might fully dominate the market, it will be interest to see who wins this vr space and if apple can compete especially with how bad the vision pro sales were.

Contrary to popular sentiment, IMO the move here for Apple is actually to continue developing AVP as is. A high spec product. A minor price drop over time with scale and volume sales can be considered. The issue is not there AVP is too expensive as often posited. The issue is time. Everyone including the FPT crew per this video seems to want an Apple tree to spring up overnight. That only then can something be considered a “success”. The time issue is that this is a long play. It may not even be that VR goggles will ever take off beyond being a niche product but that it provides momentum into AR or whatever comes next. The Oculus is cheap(er) but no one’s rushing out to buy one or wishing it for Christmas. Price is not the issue. Time is. As WWDC has shown, the phone is going nowhere. So called “AI” products have shown to be DOA. Whatever Altman and Ive come up with is not going to be sure fire either. If anything developing it with Altman is IMO actually a liability. The boy is taking the straight train to being the next Zucks. The phone is Apple’s cashcow. It doesn’t need AVP to be anything that’s a mass sales hit. If there is to be the same urgency applied to a product, that would be HomePod. There are many pieces in place that would feed into making that line amazing. But Apple needs to put in muscle and focus into it

AVP is basically a very advanced prototype that was released primarily so developers could start developing for it. I suspect it's all part of the plan.

There should be a consumer variety. Saw some renders of a cheap version that looked pretty good. Still expensive, but much more affordable.

Was the thumbnail a statement(!) or a question(?)? I foresee Vision Pro going the “HomePod-to-Mini-bring back HomePod” route. If “spatial computing” is ‘s ultimate goal, not just a “niche”, they will need hardware to reach the masses.

I think $999 is the best price to get widespread adoption, but $1499 isn’t terrible. By the time you pay taxes and get accessories, you’re looking at around $2k. Still high, but not $4k high.

I did the demo, and while it was cool and all. I kept thinking, am I really gonna use this thing? Like the spatial movies sound cool, but I always watch movies with someone else. The spatial computer sounds cool, but I know I cant do 8 hours every work day on that thing. I feel while the tech is cool, it probably still needs another 10 years for it to become effortless.

The main and only reason i’d want a vision pro for - unlimited screen real estate for working on my mac. And i would pay upto 1300 (or price of a high end display) for that. Essentially vision pro should only target gamers and professionals who need a lot of screen space to begin with. Then maybe it evolves into something more.

For me personally, the real issue is that this isn't an end-product but rather a prototype of what the experience could be. And I'd NEVER pay 3,5k for a prototype (even a successful one).

I think the heafty first price isn't even based on hardware, but mostly on the whole setup on the software environment. Once they got most of the costs earned back and the content on it is stable enough for a good daily experience, they can start to invest in cutting prices in both hardware and software to make it a more affordable must have. The issue is high cost, low market and thus not that interesting for alot of companys to spend additional software developer resources to create emersive and mostly valuable experiences/services.

It makes sense if they’re going back to the drawing board. Development for the current product is going to be sold for a long while, and developed. I can see them slow rolling the Vision Pro now after release.

I still have the quest 2 until today. the only way I would buy a new one, It's when facebook makes a 1tb version. 512gb it's still pretty good at 499 tho! apple... nope too expensive to take the risk

you know what? apple ignored games for 40 years, but games are a big selling point to new notebooks and VR gadgets.
