I have found, on getting married, that all that nonsense can be over! No more borrowing money, strip clubs are for fools, and celebrating can be done at home! Having married into a large family, there are plenty of birthdays and holidays to celebrate, without ever going out, except to someone else's house! We have all the fun we want, together!

The company headquarters may be in Manhattan but New York isn't only NYC, there are the Finger Lakes, Buffalo, Ithaca where $60,000 can go far. BTW, in previous generations there are plenty of stories where a young wife would help her husband through med or law school only to be dumped when he got established in his profession.

Betty Broderick was one of those women. She supported the family while her husband went to medical and law school. She's pretty scary
@arleneclark63692 жыл бұрын
@@karenmathews900 No she wasn't Dan Broderick was almost finished medical school when they got together, and then switched careers to become a medical malpractice lawyer, he paid off his own student loans, he started an affair with a 21yr old and that's what drove her over the edge, he had traded her in for a younger, thinner prettier woman. They didn't have a lot of money in the beginning, but when he started raking it in he spent lavishly on her and their kids. Although she stuck with him through the early lean times , she never put him through Medical or Law School he did that himself. You're definitely right about her being a scary woman though. She did many crazy things to him and his new wife before eventually killing them.

@memawknowsbest49782 жыл бұрын
In one of these stories a woman somehow managed to get to a bank, get a loan, and get to another location in less than thirty minutes. I'm pretty sure that's not possible. There also seems to be a lot of housewives and suburbanites who know how to find a loan shark in these stories too.

Sooooo, had he never played himself and told her about his affair, she would've still been married to him and paying off his debts?... I really don't understand why the wife would tell him about her new good paying job? 😕.. that's stupid... nobody would do this.. they would just be glad they dodged a bullet and got rid of a no good cheater.. They're not telling the cheater "oh by the way, I now make $5k a month".. after he just told you he's cheating and leaving you for someone else.... because she makes more money than you😂😂😂😂🤭.. be realistic🙄🙄.. it makes me feel like the wives be begging for the man to stay in a way.. otherwise they wouldn't of told them.. juat once I'd like to see a story that is close to be realistic.. where the emotions match the storyline..

@michellealjunaidi84712 жыл бұрын
People should be careful who they marry. I think all marriages should have a legal prenuptial agreement. The future spouse needs to protect themselves from their new spouses creditors. I wouldn't want to get married then find out my new spouse is up to his eyeballs in debt. With a prenup you have a legal agreement signed by both parties before the marriage starts. That way everybody knows how to divide the assets and who responsible for the debt that was aquired before or during the marriage. It will also help if it's stated in writing that if either spouse applies for personal loans only in their name. They are required to pay it off themselves in the event the marriage ends. Prenups are not only for wealthy people. Their are a lot of middle class or lower income people that have homes and other assets they had before marriage that they should be able to keep if the marriage goes south. If you don't have a prenup in place your ex honey might try to take what isn't theirs during the divorce.
