I have the s6 edge and a iPhone 6 plus. Games are much better on the iPhone but movies and multitasking is much better on the galaxy s6. I love them both equally.

The quad hd display kills graphics in games (maybe not "kills"). I'm still heartbroken on which one to choose- the better game one (which also will be able to sync games from my current iPhone) or the one I like more for the other categories

Harinder jhagrah I upgraded from the iPhone 6 to the Galaxy S6 Edge and it was a HUGE upgrade for me especially the Quad-HD display and camera with DSLR functionality. I recommend getting the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge. Even the iPhone 6s (Apple's next phone) wont beat it.

Harinder jhagrah I got the Galaxy S6 and Samsung really got it right this time. The Galaxy S6 has a beautiful glass design, superb Quad-HD display (which is rated as the most color accurate and highest quality display according to DisplayMate's review) and the camera is the best in the industry. All other Android phones aren't worth it. The HTC One M9 uses the faulty Snapdragon 810 CPU which has overheating problems causing down-throttling of the CPU and thus slowdowns. Also the HTC One M9's camera is the worst according to Marques Brownlee.

I exchanged my galaxy s6 for a iPhone 6s. The Galaxy had a lot bugs that never got fixed while I had it. Also, battery was bad and the Galaxy could not keep games open in back ground. On top of that it had a weird issue with the keyboard. Every time I tried to type something the keyboard would disapear and pop up again messing up what I was typing. I haven't looked back.

Jai. Dadi the iPhone 6s I good. Perfect even since it actually has a headphone jack. It does freeze on occasion but not that much. I would call it rare. It's definitely faster that android in the sense that it opens apps quicker. It has no multi window feature though. All in all I like it. People might say that if you switch from an android to an iPhone you will miss the customization but that's only true will you get us to it. After that what will make you stick with it is the reliability that comes with it. It gets updates every month. To me Apple perfect the iPhone with the 6s.

The iPhone 6 is old now (9 months old to be exact). It will become outdated very soon because Apple didn't put a 14nm CPU and DDR4 RAM in there. The Galaxy S6 has a 14nm CPU and DDR4 RAM which is about 2 years ahead of everyone else. So it will be a much more sensible and worthy investment to go with the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge.

***** Hey Anny D if you want to take the best quality photos I highly recommend getting the Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S6 has a 16MP camera with DSLR functions so it's going to deliver the best quality photos with the best image quality (IQ). The iPhone 6 is alright but it' not the best. To be honest I'd go with Apple. I mean all Samsung devices are excellent until you find out they have TouchWiz, I mean TouchWiz is a big problem. What's the point though, I mean you need a phone just to text and communicate with others like WhatsApp, Viber, Tango and much more. Not just stupid games, so I'd go with Apple. And trust me, the Samsung Communinty is full of anoyying kids that get insulted by an opinion. This is why I'll go with Apple, and trust me I own a iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone is better.

Mr. IDGAF I personally find the S6 to be a better choice, and I will address each of your points with an argument of my own. It's known that TouchWiz slows down the system, but it doesn't slow it to the point of being unusable, and if you're a casual user, you won't mind as it performs powerfully even with TouchWiz. If you're more techy, or just hate TouchWiz, you can always install a custom ROM in it (e.g. CyanogenMod) and get rid of the in-built bloatware, assuming you're ready to take the risk of bricking it. The S6 is not restricted to only playing "stupid games" and is fully capable of texting and calling others, seeing as it's also obviously a cellular phone. WhatsApp, Viber, and Tango are all available on the Play Store, and most major apps are also available on Android, since iOS and Android are the leading mobile operating systems. Both of them are equally viable for mobile gaming as they're both well-optimized smartphones. As for the community, all I can say is don't generalize. If you're not going to generalize all Christians as bigots, why generalize the Samsung and Android community as annoying kids. People are different, and we don't like being categorized for the mistakes of others. And finally, your comparison. It may be true, but the past iterations are irrelevant in comparing the current generation of smartphones. I'm not offended by your opinion either, I'm just taking a shot at opening your eyes (and the eyes of others) to our side of the argument.

Nathan Orencia Personally, I love my Nexus 6 because of the user experience. I get faster updates, a cleaner UI, and a very rootable platform. I just don't get that with every other OEM, not just Samsung. The updates are slow, the UI is usually invasive, and the platform is not very open to rooting. That's why, 10 times out of 10, I will pick always pick Nexus. Are those standards high? Sure, but the Nexus name is the minimalist definition of a smartphone, and I love that it doesn't come with gimmicks because that's what makes it so usable because there is so much potential for me to build on. Less is clearly more, but only if you're a tinkerer like me. But Samsung is just terrible, I mean I would perfer Apple over Samsung if I had a choice.

Mr. IDGAF Different things for different tastes I suppose, and I do agree with you when it comes to the Nexus. The Nexus is great for a stock Android experience, and it's also very open to rooting. Still, it's possible to root your Samsung device, it just takes more work to revert it to an ample stock Android experience. I still personally prefer the Samsung, because it still does provide more customizability than the Apple devices, though it's the most limited of the Android devices.

I have been using Android Phones since 2010 (before that i was on Symbian OS, Nokia ). My first Android phone was the Samsung Galaxy S, then: Nexus S Galaxy S2 Then i had to switch to BlackBerry because of my previous Job and i was using BlackBerry Q10 then i switched back to: LG Nexus 5 Then something wonderful happened, i was interested in trying out Apple iPhone, but i didn't wanted to send allot of money for an iPhone so i bought the iPhone 5. I was using it for 7 months and i didnt had any problems whatsoever, it worked perfectly. But due to job related issues i had to switch back to android so i bought: Galaxy S4. The phone is great but still not close to the stability of Apple's iPhone. NOW i am planing to switch back to iPhone 6. My overall experience with Android and Apple is satisfying and i am more willing to use an iPhone than Android.

+Wizzy Watkins You clearly haven't done any research. Look it up on Ebay, Amazon, any online website that you can purchase these phones. I can get an s6 used for around $250. I can get an iPhone used for around $400. Apple is apple, it'll always be that "luxurious" phone. Even if the s6 was better, people still prefer the iPhone. I know that for a fact, because there are more people in the community who think an iPhone has better technology. It can possibly be true, but the s6 still owns good features. All in all, the iPhone is going to be more expensive for no reason. I still believe the s6 is a lot cheaper, that's why I'm purchasing it.

anish krishnan I went with the Edge although it's mainly for looks more than actual functionality. The people edge can be useful and the night clock is very useful (at least for me since I don't have a nightstand clock). The thing I like most about the Edge though is the looks. It's very unique. My favorite thing about it is the way it looks when swiping left and right or pulling out a menu from the side. eg when swiping through photos, it looks like the pictures are rolling out from underneath.

As a huge Android phone - i just can't go over to iOS due to it's limitations - i'm a huge admirer of the smooth operation of the iPhone. Notice the S6 still drops frames and stutters (whereas for example the HTC One M8 doesn't i.e. it's not an Android issue but Samsung), whereas iOS never does this. The feel is then smooth and fluid which is how the iPhone 6 feels in use. Samsung aren't good at software whereas Apple are quite brilliant at it.

Ummm, you forgot the part that iOS 8 has Metal Technology, which makes some games which the developer decides to update it to apply the Metal Technology or not to have, yeah way awesome and gorgeous graphics compared to other phone or tablets consoles which specially made for the A7 chip or above with iOS 8 as its OS as well of course. Well I've never spoke out such words like above before, so that's good. Hope this helps :)

Endymion777777 Personally I do not like the way iphones "stabilize" videos. Cuts the quality down by quite a bit. But I too am curious if the S6 has a switch to turn it off and on.

Benchmarks mean nothing....unless they favor the iPhone. When the iPhone gets blown out of the water by the Galaxy S6, it becomes an Apples to Oranges comparison. Truth be told, they're both great phones. One is very simplistic and locked down, but always runs smooth and does everything well. The other features cutting edge technology, and the best specs on the market today. As someone who uses iOS and Android on a daily basis, my advice to a prospective buyer would be to get the Galaxy S6, unless you are computer illiterate and/or have an affinity toward Apple products. Otherwise, there is no comparison. With everything being equal, particularly when it comes to pricing, the Galaxy S6 features a vastly superior screen, SoC, front and rear camera, and endless customization. That's just my humble opinion.

This is the first time the galaxy series has had no stutter what so ever. I have had the phone for a month and a half and there have been no slowdowns.

Personally, 4K video recording isn't a bit deal for me....the files are so big and I don't have a 4K TV so kinda meh. Higher res photos would be great though so you can crop images when you need to. As for which I like better. I don't know....I'd rock either and be quite happy.

Snowmation You also could see that the image stabilization on the iPhone 6 was just doing a perfect job while the Galaxy S6 video has been shaking like crazy.There are some Apps available for the iPhone 6 that lets you shoot 4K Video, but then, like on the S6, without image stabilization. But to be honest... who prefers a shaky 4K video, if you can have a 1090p video that isn't shaking at all?!

Marco Richter Exactly. The reality is that 4K video capability isn't developed on smartphones to be up to par as 1080p. Samsung just had to include it for bragging points over the iPhone.

Marco Richter That is in the 4k video. The s6 doesn't have OIS for 4k video. For 1080p it does. And the iPhone is not able to shoot 4k because it is an 8 megapixel sensor. The apps aren't telling the entire story. At this moment, there isn't a way to shoot 4k with 8 megapixels. But comparing both cameras they do well for image pros and even people like use who want to get something nice for imstagram lol.

iphone 6 is 6.9 mm thin while Samsung Galaxy S6 is 6.8 mm thin. Add a sexy design (even though a lot of people say that they copy apple) personally I could care less because it's still has differences. An 8 core processor with 3 gigabytes of ram with an new and improved version of touch wiz. Count me in, just got a note 4 in December now on to this bad boy.

I personally prefer the iphone and recommend it. For one it's cheaper and they camera I think is a lot better than the galaxy and I think people should try out both before making an accusation on which they would like best but I personally like the iphone better because of better quality. I've also had many friends who's samsungs crashed or froze the first couple weeks they have had them. But the downside to the iphone is the battery life.
