I'm actually a bit disappointed with the s6. They went same direction as Apple in an attempt convert some of the iPhone users. And the result of that is a Samsung phone that it very good for an iPhone, but not quite up to snuff with previous Galaxys.

Alex Wohlbruck I upgraded from the iPhone 6 to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 is superior. Superior 16MP OIS camera with DSLR functionality, superior Quad-HD display and superior battery life. Get the Galaxy S6! The iPhone 6's 8MP camera doesn't have OIS camera and no DSLR functionality. Also the display resolution is even less than 1080p. iPhone 6 is low tech.

FrenchVoyeur Trust me, I would never EVER consider the iPhone, but I've had the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Tab 2 in the past years, and I just could not deal with touchwiz in all of it's hideousness. The UI has improved since the S5, I must say, but still stock Lollipop looks way better (I'm a graphic designer and I need everything to look good lol). The experience I've had with Samsung in the past has been so bad that I just swore off Samsung all together. However, I might have to take it back with this phone. It's an exception I think.

Stefan C. If only the S6 had a metal back, I HATE glass backs on phones. Have a Note 4 right now and might switch to the iPhone 6S later this year, wanted to try the iPhone anyways. I just hope that the Note 5 won't have a glass back otherwise the Note 4 will be my last Samsung until they change to metal.

Pocketnow Great review, but I don't think the Galaxy S6 looks anything like the iPhone 6. The S6 has chamfer edges, the sides are flat, the antenna bands are on the top and bottom, and the speaker holes are a different design. The iPhone has no cuts on it what so ever, it is all round.

Best comparison I have seen on these two phones. NICE WORK MR FISHER! That being said, here are my thoughts about the two phones. We already know the iPhone 6s will have "force touch" just like the Apple watch. Sames specs, slightly better camera and "new" force touch... which means app development we be closer to android. Example, force touch is the same as the back button or something along those lines. Apple will say, (in a stupid accent) "now rather than closing the app you can force press anywhere on the screen and go back to your previous information without ever leaving the app... just like you always could on Android" As the two phones galaxy and iPhone get closer in design and the software aligns more and more it will be easy for devs to make apps for both systems equally. Thus leaving the battle to hardware. And the S6 has the better screen, better camera and I can charge it at just about any pub just by asking for a phone charger, without sounding like a douche. "Umm, excuse me, do you have an iPhone 6s+ charger? No? Just the iPhone 6+. Well I need the 6S+ charger, thanks anyway." AND even if the pub didn't have a normal/standard phone charger for my Galaxy I could turn on ultra power saving mode, which has saved my butt plenty of times. I used to be a diehard apple guy. Had the 3G, 3GS, 4, 5, and then I got a Galaxy Alpha... I won't ever go back. Try them both for six months and decide. I promise you the Galaxy will win.

I truly don't understand why everyone is saying that the Galaxy S6 looks like the iPhone 6. The power and volume keys were always were they are, Samsung had the home button for as long as I can remember (they did copy with the fingerprint scanner, but it's not visually copying.), and they might have copied them by bringing the headphone jack down, but they had to put the speaker on the bottom because the back of the phone is glass and is would be stupid to cut an extra unnecessary hole and hurt the structural integrity of it and the charging port was also there for as long as I can remember.

Rajit Roy you all are forgetting the fact that AppStore has a quality control. All the apps go through a process of evaluation before getting released to make sure it isn't malicious. so yeah, app store is the winner, if you're a developer you know you're actually getting paid, if you're a consumer you know you can trust any download you do in it, but it isn't the best store if you like to stole every app by downloading them for free and thinking you're being smart.

I was an android fan for the past 6 years, but just switched from a GS6 to iPhone 6s Plus. The GS6 looks better, and has an open platform/ecosystem, but it's also laggy, unreliable, doesn't always get updates, and has bad battery life. iPhone users get updates at the same time, rarely crashes, and is also faster than the GS6 even though the GS6 has double the ram and a faster processor, and that's because the iPhone is optimized better. Also my battery is literally at 70% with moderate use from 8:00 am to 10 pm, you have to admit that's pretty impressive. Apple is better for me, but everyone has different needs and preferences. We can all be respectful and we don't have to bash android or iOS, there are pros and cons to each.

Android hasn't changed much in long time either, fact is android just is slow and sluggish and needs high specs run No matter what u say, no can deny that android is slower than iOS who actually has a brain and looks at it Take my LG android tablet from sprint that has very similar specs to iPhone 6 and it doesn't have the so called up to date features u think android has over iOS what u think is only why android is slower, it's very basic and can't do much with it fast It can't even barely keep up with my typing without missing letters unless I type slower It crashes quite a bit and it's just few months old and had to factory reset it and my wife has the same tablet and same issues, but even the first gen iPad was faster Just try running antutu benchmark on an iPhone 6 or 6plus and u can't find a dual core android device tablet or phone that scores even half what the iPhone gets U have to get newer quad core or octocore android to be equal or beat the iPhone This has nothing to do with iOS being such a simple OS like u think cuz when running the benchmark tests it's not using any of those features u think android has over iOS, it's just testing the CPU, cpu and ram also note all the apps that have to start over or reboot on android when switching between apps vs apps that remember ur place And that's a ram issue cuz I've had many android and iOS devices and I've have tons of high end apps opened on android and checked the current ram usage and there was no risk of running out of ram so that's shows it doesn't need more ram, but yet it's still rebooting apps and crashing All these 3GB ram android devices don't even need it, u can be running pretty much all the apps u want without coming close to using it up so its not a lack of ram issue, that's just there to please people like u who think that tech specs like ram and CPU is all that matters Even the so called beast that is the note 4 doesn't really do any better in performance than an iPhone 6 plus, technically the note 3 should have better performance than the iPhone 6 plus but it doesn't

No hating please, but what I think is the best way to decide which phone you should get. If you're really into taking photographs and videos and like the ability to completely customize your phone's internal look, go for the Samsung Galaxy S6. If you like a very fast, non-laggy phone that is much simpler and easier to figure out, go for the iPhone 6/6S. Both phones are great and I don't believe there should be any bias between them, just pick which one fits your needs better. Don't tell people "OMG this one's SOOOO much better!!" It may fit YOUR needs better, but maybe not for the other person. Thanks!

If you are the kind of person who doesn't upgrade his phone for more than a year or two (which I assume you are since you have an iPhone 4), I think the iPhone would be better for you since Apple keeps pushing updates to old iPhones while my Galaxy S5 is still running Android 4.4 which is about 2 years old! I have to say that other Android manufacturers like Motorola and Google don't seem to have this problem. My one and only advice is don't compare the specs. Performance is what matters.

It depends on what you want. I've been an iPhone user for 5 years and then I got a Note 3 which I've used for every day since I bought it well over a year now. I can not go back to my iPhone because I am too annoyed with the app- and Web page -reloads. They are very common and it makes it impossible to do anything productive on my phone. The Note remembers everything I do and when I quit out from an app to do something else, it stays exactly the same when I want to go back to it. I think iPhone is great for most phone buyers because most people just want something that works. But I want more!

Think about the things that you'll lose if you change to iOS. If they are not a problem for you, then I think that you can take an iPhone. I own a Note 4 and I can't imagine changing Android for iOS. Impossible. I'd feel like in a jail 😊

I don't know if you should choose the Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6 but just for another option, the hTC one m9! That phone is beautiful, fast, it has a nice screen, best in class speakers, and very close to stock Android. The only downside is the camera isn't too good compared to other smartphones, according to online camera comparisons. If you want a phone that has many tricks and cool unique features, best in class screen, new fingerprint sensor, and amazing camera, the Galaxy S6 is a really good choice. If you want a phone that is beautiful, simple, and fast, the iPhone 6 is a great idea. It also is part of the largest app ecosystem (Apple App Store) so you may find some cool iOS exclusives. If you don't want to all out customize your phone, this is a good idea. The camera is good although it may not be that sharp when zooming in on photos because of the 8MP sensor but the image processing in iOS is amazing. It all depends on what you are looking for in a phone, features and customizability, great speakers, OS and hardware, or just plain simplicity

Great review- but it's the second review you have complained about the back button being in the upper left. System wide and almost in every 3rd party apps you can swipe from the left edge to go back. And it's amazing to use.

Samsung is not visually similar to Apple. Apple is visually similar to Samsung. I will accept the bottom of the phone looks shockingly similar but Samsung have been putting their power button, volume rocker, and ports in the same place for years now. Just wanna let long term iphone/apple users that started with iphone know, once you enter the apple world, you'll always come back. Don't waste money on a different phone I'm just saying. Stick with your iphone and don't keep updating your device to the point of it becoming obsolete. Wait for whatever new iphone you think will fit you best instead of upgrading every year or two. Trust me I tried to switch to samsung gs6, only to find myself constantly trying to reskin the os to an "ios look-a-like" and looking for facetime/imessage alternatives. I can't get over apples amazing ecosystem and hardware(arguable).

For overall photo quality, Samsung. I can admit that, and I'm an iPhone user. I do recommend, however, that you visit your carrier's retail store location (if possible) and get hands-on experience with each device. Folks will go back and forth over Samsung and Apple but you have to decide which phone you'll be happier with as they're so much more than vehicles used to access Instagram. 😉

I've owned both, well, the edge variant of the s6. I can confidently say ive had absolutely no issues with either but Samsung really nailed the design and OS on the S6. The features are very useful, the screen and camera are in a different league and in my opinion its nicer the hold and look at. The fingerprint scanner really is as good as Apples and with features like wireless charging and edge display im happy to say of the 2 thats the one id have back. I was so impressed with the s6 edge I bought the s7 edge on launch, congrats Samsung, you've finally put functionality and features in a gorgeous well made case. Gone is tackiness of previous Samsungs, touchwiz is really impressive now, its light, fast and intuitive. Apple, listen up, take a page out of Samsungs book and copy the features people want. The S7/edge is the complete package. - ex iPhone user.

John Doe Yes, it's worth it 100%. I upgraded from the iPhone 6 to the Galaxy S6 and it was a HUGE upgrade for me especially the Quad-HD display and 16MP OIS camera with DSLR functions. Coming from the iPhone 5s to the Galaxy S6 will be an even bigger upgrade. Get the Galaxy S6 bro!

I agree with everything on the video except with the app crashing, I have my S6 since it got released to the stores and no apps have ever crashed for me.
