Hey Noah, I think it's great to have the option to switch off the cellular data function, because when I go abroad I can switch it off and don't have to worry about the bill when I get back. Especially here in Europe it's quite handy, because we travel accross the borders all the time. At least, I do!!

finally good to see the iphone have these features. reasons why i bought android, home wallpaper, 3G on/off option, etc. puts them back in the game. like andy rubin says tho, "open usually wins."

i want to see the ability to manage audio tracks more by the use of adding lyrics by copying and pasting it from safari, along with album covers. i think this would be really cool.

Man it seems like this update is all about playing catch up. Actually, the iphone hasn't had a new (new as in new to smartphones, not new to the iphone) feature since OS 2.0..

@AdamKaoru my first android phone was the mytouch 3g selecting text really isnt that hard and it was my first time every using a smartphone and touch screen at that. O.o How do you know it renders perfect and android doesnt? im asking cause all that stuff you said was very biased and untrue Andrioid has come a long way it is equal to iphone in functionality and speed not to mention the customizibility not trying to argue but what phone did you use? this coming from an Iphone 3gs owner

if you combinw these features with a bigger and better screen, better camera and flash, you might be looking at some sort of competition for the upcoming htc EVO 4G. I hope apple do have some hidden improvements too, I always like surprises! : )

The things that android already has really raises the bar and if the iPhone 4g isn't THE best phone one the market when it comes out I'm going to have to go with the evo 4g and keep my 3gs strictly for the apps and game center.

Looks like Apple is pretty much playing catch-up with this update. It is unusual to see Apple in that situation. The iphone OS seems pretty much the same...lackluster and unattractive. Just a few tweaks to try and keep up.
