I've owned an iPhone 4 for several months now, before I got my free case I dropped it 3 times... One was from 7 feet (the glass is so slick anything you set it on it wants to slide off, it was a towl rack) hit flat on the back, no damage at all... Other time got bumped out of my hand and sent skidding flat across rocky sharp grainy asphalt and there was no damage at all!

Most of all the buggy issues, including the proximity problem, seemed to be resolved by doing a "Reset All Settings" under general - reset. Several of my friends tried it also, and we haven't experienced any problems since...

Zagg+bumper = repeatedly drops with out any damage & gives it the naked iPhone feeling rather then a full case

@phonedog I think your iPhone 4 is defective, return it and buy another one. The proximity sensor is a VERY SMALL issue that happened with a couple of iphones. I have an iPhone 4, and the only issue I have is the antenna issue. If you dont, Apple will release a software update soon to fix it.

Hey Noah, the glass is actually pretty resilient to drops and scratches, this is due to that it is made from the same glass that helicopter windows are made of.

One of the reasons people watch these videos is to see if the phone holds up to the hype, when so much is said of the phone making a leap forward in smart phones you expect them to back it up, as far as I have seen, nothing I have not seen before, in fact I was thinking of getting one but I would be loosing features from my current phone.

Noah...the iPhone is actually heavier than the 3G and 3GS but it is the exact same weight as the 1st and 2nd gen iPhone.

You mentioned the iPod Touch models that should come out in November. I'm really curious what the new iPod Touch will be like. Camera on front and back? Or camera at all? A4 Processor? Higher Res Screen? Square or rounded? Will it look like this or more like a 3GS? I'm very curious. Personally I'd rather have an Android Phone, but smart phones are just too expensive for me, so I guess I'll stick with iPod Touches.

hey guys i have an iphone 4 and i dropped it by mistake...it fell down on the front but nothing happened.i was lucky enough to buy a rubber body glove from best buy.it helps trust me...it fell on flat concrete n if there was a brick or something then i'd be a goner.thanks for the review noah...keep up the good work.

a friend did but i was fine there wasent any kind of scratches. but he dident drop it out side or on asfalt. It was more like a floor.

Haven't dropped it yet (knock on wood.) However, I haven't had problems with the reception, maybe I hold it in such a way were I get good reception. And I also haven't had problems with the proximity either. These problems will be fixed, mostly software issues and then we'll see what happens.

i bought a bumper an it feels alot safer in my hands becuz to me without the bumper i feel as my iphone will slip out of my hands cuz of the metal trim around it.. but really just buy a cover to protect the back side and get a screen protector with it u could get that from ebay for like 12$ to 15$ if they pay for shipping

Noah you should add a comment to this video or make an updated video based on Apples letter about the reception. Also worth an actual test to determine signal degradation or loss while actually using the phone and not based on the reception bars.

My bro has the iPhone 4 32GB's. It is AMAZING! The battery life is OUTSTANDING. From a full charge it takes about 8 hours of NON-stop use for it to die out. (may very from device to device though) I love the design it's very..Modern and just nice. I dropped it once on pavement and inside, my heart broke. But, nothing happened to the phone :DDD Overall, great phone i highly recommend it. I will be getting one next week. BTW All those issues out there...i haven't experienced any

i dont think buying a case is a good way to fix the issue with the reception, not everyone wants a case for their phone. bottom line, the phone shouldnt lose its signal at all, case or no case.

@dashrimp818 Glass is weak in tension and shearing (being pulled or bent). What usually breaks glass is bending or being struck by a pointed object. It will break easily if it is dropped due to the tension.

it depends on far it dropped. if it dropped on carpet then you should be ok if its on concrete your screwed...

Yes, I dropped my I phone 4 on my kitchen floor and the back and some of the front so it cracked alot but i got insurance on it and im getting a replacement, like my question to you is should i get a cover for it or what kind so if you know what kind. Please Help.

i could care less about the early bugs of a device. if something major happens, i will use my warranty and get a brand new phone. the reason i didn't get one was because of the service provider! att actually discontinued their unlimited data package and replaced it with a 2 GB limit. are you kidding me? i'm surprised noah didn't touch on that.

I bought a griffin "reveal" case and I dropped my iphone with the "reveal case" on and it was fine. Fell hummm...3 1/2 feet. Chair level.

@KING31293 I wud say the best thing for you is to buy the Droid X and try it out. After a week return it and then go to AT&T and try the iPhone 4. They are both great phones. If you are big on the video camera, video editing, ease of use, apps, and great display, iPhone 4 to go. If you care about the size and Android, Droid X to go. Other thing is iPhone has a front facing camera/video chat.

I have had the phone for like... 1 month and i dropped it over 10 times BUT i have the Otter Box Case and ITS AMAZING! Paid 80 bucks (In Canada, USA = 50 bucks) for it and I SWEAR IT WILL NEVER BREAK! Drop it from over like 2 meters and no damages. :)

glass on both sides to me is bad design. Already I hate the yucky oily soiled up look on the screen of a phone..let alone now having it on both sides...really don't see the point of having glass on both sides other than the supposed better radio reception..which ironically is not one of the phone's strengths...

ok one thing i have to say. you talk about the glass and the metal alot when you dont know the material. the glass is made out of the glass they put on helicopters so good luck breaking that and that "metal" is stainless steel

I live in Australia and the Telstra network has had no trouble what so ever with the "Death Grip". So it may also have something to do with software or the US frequency differences. By the way I am getting one in 7 days YAY!!!!
