I need a nice bumper case for my 8 Plus. Overall though, I don't think you're missing out much having the 8 Plus. Having the A11 bionic chip, the Improved camera and wireless charging is good enough for me. Plus I appreciate the better battery life

If you're upgrading from an iPhone 6 the iPhone 8 is a really good option....the 7 is missing the wireless standard as well as the a11 chip where as the 8 is future proof and has a superior camera with true tone display and it's just as fast as the x Imo with the x you're paying a premium for different and oled and last I checked different is not better just different.

I don’t understand how the 8 plus isn’t a big enough upgrade from the 7 plus when the 8 is nearly identical in terms of the internal specs. I think both phone are just 2 different user experiences. It seems pretty simple. Like Touch ID go with the 8 series, want an oled display and Face ID go with the X.

I personally choose the iPhone X for its design since I had the 6s Plus. I grew tired of the iPhone 6 design. I really like not having a home button and just swiping. But I find my experience with iOS is weird at the moment. Since I have the iPad Pro and the iPhone X. It sucks swiping down on the right corner on the iPhone X and swiping up on my iPad. It’s not a consistent experience with the current lime up. But the iPhone X is like the perfect size. The 8 Plus feels so big now.

Another great review! I switched to ios after a years of Android and considered both but went with the 8+ because of the battery life...I'm sure the x gets good battery life but the 8+ can actually get me through two days of normal for me use and easily a day of heavy use...have to mention the impressive power, display, camera the 8+ has a well.....

They both have the same hardware A11 Bionic processor 3GB of Ram 64-256 GB Capacity for both Only the display is different Iphone X is OLED but 8 plus is LCD but no quality difference tho,so the real difference is the design.personally i dont like the chrome sides and the vertical camera on the X but the bezel less impressed me,on the other hand the horizontal camera on 8 plus and the matte sides look dope.im just going for 8 plus cuz i rly need touch ID

I'm making a switch from a Samsung S7 edge to most likely the 8 plus. I've had Androids for years never had an iPhone but there is one thing I always noticed. The iPhones always run smoothly even when they are old. There are so many different Android platforms running different versions that the get very choppy whereas the iPhone is the only manufacturer with IOS it allows APP developers to perfect what they set out to do. Anyway the S7 is too narrow and kills me to type so I think the 8 Plus is where I'll be happy.

Hey Tim, just as an FYI...to power down any iOS 11+ device now, you can actually go in to the Settings app, General, Shut Down. It's an easier way to turn off the iPhone X but as I said, it's now on all iOS 11+ devices (even iPads). Also something you forgot to mention is that both the iPhone X and the 8/8 Plus have wireless charging that support wireless fast charge as well. Personally I agree with you though and the iPhone X is the better of the new iPhones for this year. I'm loving mine so far and I don't miss the bezels or TouchID at all (FaceID hasn't failed on me at all & the gestures are super easy to learn after using the phone for like a day).

Hi guys, I came from an iPhone 6s. The screen was cool. I just bought the 8 plus and it’s like a yellow screen. I have turned that True Tone thing, night switch off, but I put my 6s next to 8 plus and the 6s is more white. I mean the whites are whites not yellowish as in the 8 plus. This yellowing thing is driving crazy. Anyone one saw this? Is it normal?

The coolest thing about the iPhone ten is with the stereo speakers it is very easy to tell that Apple doesn't record stereo audio the way a lot of Android phones do.

I returned my iPhone X it was overheating and don’t like screen long and skinny looks kinda weird after awhile , battery wasn’t what u thought and speakers were okay and don’t like the top notifications section of the phone because of the notch it doesn’t display battery percentage that’s sucks and the one friends who have the x still none of them ever uses aniemojis they prefer the stock emoji , when I went back to the 8 + man I was back to the driver seat it polished works in landscape mode like iPad wide screen battery is a beast and the speakers are loud

I can wear sunglasses and a hat and my Face ID works perfectly every time. It’s how you set it up which can make a huge difference on how it works. Be as close as you can when you set it up. I’ll be more than happy to make a video to show that

I made this same mistake the first time, I put my iPhone X on top of my brand new 8Plus to compare the screen sizes and there was a scratch! The stainless steel camera bump on the X scratched the surface of my 8 plus!!!

Eh, the X is way too expensive, also I ain’t a fan of the really weird gestures, and also the 8 is an upgrade INTERNALLY, not only does it have True Tone Display, A11 Bionic, Wireless charging, and just looks less novelty-ish, which is something that the 6, 6S, and 7 all have in common due to the weird positioning of the antenna bands. I honestly believe the 8 and 8 Plus deserve more credit than they’re actually getting, the X is just WAY too expensive and it’s too complex to use.

In my opinion it's not worth it, the 2 main features you get is the faceid and the animoji, neither of them is a necessity or improves your overall experience of using the phone. The display is great, but there are other manufacturers that gives you amazing displays for a much lesser price point. The gesture controls is the next major feature (don't know if it can be considered as a feature, more like a change) and it's good and will be a refreshing change if you want something different from the same old home button, but it still needs a bit more refinement. It's a good phone but not just for $1000. I create tech based contents in my channel, if you don't mind please do give my channel a visit.

I'll wait for the next Gen iPhone Xs "Plus." Apple has a constant on-going track record of their first Gen products being woefully deficient by comparison to their 2nd Gen models. Noticing this made me glad I waited and didn't buy a first Gen iPad without a camera or scanning features, or a First Gen Apple watch, which I am still unimpressed with as a "must have item" or a bendable iPhone 6. The subsequent models are always demonstrably improved with Apple. Who knows. Maybe Phil Schiller will muster up the "courage" to admit it was a bonehead move taking away our headphone jacks - as if it were something on the phone we never used or wanted. (Just a little wishful thinking). This iPhone X(s) is going to be a great phone next year when it comes out in a "Plus" size. I'll wait for that one.
