The campaign shenanigans from both the red party and blue party is exactly what is stirring up this market panic. I have a little over 250k i wanted to put in the markets but I don’t know what direction to head now.

Find quality stocks that have long term potential, and ride with those stocks. I have found it takes someone who is very familiar with the market to make such good picks.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

How can one find a verifiable financial planner? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you. I will be retiring in two years and I might need some management on my much larger portfolio. Don't want to take any chances.

Svetlana Sarkisian Chowdhury is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..

The money was already put aside I think in 2017, (by court order if I remember correctly) so it doesn’t come out of this year’s earnings. Apple and all other big global companies are good at avoiding tax I suspect.

And the Irish government made it easy for them by setting up tax dodging scams like "stateless companies" the "Double Irish , Double Dutch fraud" and other devices to help the greedy yanks pay little or no tax on their vast profits . Ireland have been doing the dirt on the European Union for a long time so as to attract massive F.D.I. to their Tax scams. This after Ireland with Portugal having gained the most from joining the E.U. Ireland on the back of this roguery & dishonesty attracted up to 60 % of all the investment going into the E.U. in the nineties and part of the noughties. Their wealth is due directly to attracting tax dodging multi-nationals who provided thousands of jobs to the economy. The European Union was well aware this was going on but were surprised to learn eventually of the scale of the tax evasion. They gave Ireland, a small poor country a lot of latitude by requesting them to close down the loop-holes. They made an attempt to do so but with the connivance of the US multinationals opened up other schemes to facilitate tax dodging. The E.U. eventually got fed up Ireland and with the help of some US senators and the O.E.C.D. started to pursue Apple /Ireland through the E.U. courts and the end result is that Ireland will now benefit from the finding of the courts and stand to receive 13 Billion ( Less some monies to be repaid to other countries ) in Corp. Taxes due, as well as having initially received all those thousands of jobs on the basis of their tax avoidance scams. Instead of trying to scam the E.U. regulations they should be forever grateful to them for having provided them with such a tax windfall. There are lots more Banks and Insurance & re-Insurance that set up in Ireland for the same tax dodging facilities available. reason and which the E.U. should also pursue. During all these allegations the Irish govt. stood shoulder with Apple and claimed that they were receiving the correct taxes as set out in legislation. Irelands reputation has suffered a severe blow from these proceedings and I am sure the E.U. will be keeping a keen eye on their tax structures going forward.

There was no “tax deal”. The same rules applied to Apple as applied to everyone else. Revenue merely gave its opinion has to how those rules applied to Apple’s particular situation.

I don't know the details of the tax but the ruling helps explain why Europe is no zone of innovation or beehive of economic activity plus no bastion of individual liberty. The EU has about 500 million people and only generates about the same GDP as the 330 million person USA. Plus those 500 million need America the sucker to defend them with NATO.
@lthomson2024Ай бұрын
you only have the same GDP as use have so much debt

Yes but 10% of us gdp is based on debt. You borrow $1trillion every 100 days, yeah your economy is great. US Mentality, we can’t win against foreign car manufacturers or aeroplane manufacturers let’s sanction or tariff them. China is going to very quickly displace the USA into irrelevance.
@aightm8Ай бұрын
No individual liberty? I'm sure you have some cherry picked examples from individual nations. But would you care to give examples? Living in Ireland I have never experienced suppression of my liberty. In fact, we rank higher than the US on most freedom indexes

Car manufacturing only dumb yanks want to buy us cars, the only cars exported form the USA have Japanese or EU badges on them. US let’s put tariffs on foreign competitors who make better cars, planes etc and protect our backward technology.
