@@osdi10 I think you should use something older. I used 10.7.5 and it worked flawlessly. The newer MacOS the things getting harder.

@@osdi10 if you have only one Mac you might consider installing older OS on different disk. Replacing disk takes only 10 minutes but keeps your main OS safe :)

@@WojciechMikula I figured out by myself, doesn't work to change the serial number. It only works with mainboards with blank serial number.

No, it does not. It won't even start on M1 chip.

​@@WojciechMikula By any chance.... Does this work on A1706 and A1707? I need to change serial number due to MDM lock. But because A1706 and A1707 have T1 chip, not sure if it communicates with SPI ROM chip. But T1 is not that secure as T2.

Don't waste your time on this. This isn't working. DMG file seems to be corrupted and only way to sort out serial number is through flash programmer.
