Hi Joe Lam! Similar problem with MagicMouse 2 on the iMac; dropouts now and then, and just lately a lot, for the last several weeks. Tried the blue-tooth based KZbin and blog-site fixes. No dice! The magic keyboard has had no issues at all, so unlikely a Bluetooth problem anywho. As you demonstrate here with magic mouse 1, it seemed like a bad electric connection in the mouse... somewhere (it's sealed - can't easily pull it apart to see). Eventually tried putting the on-off toggle into a halfway position and reconnecting using the Bluetooth menu. Blow me down! It's been working *perfectly* all day. No dropouts no stutters. Simply a bad connection in the toggle (gunk or corrosion on the connection strip)

I had this issue and I solved is by fitting a better type of batteries.At first I used some sort of eco-friendly batteries and BT stopped so often then I changed to Energizer alkaline batteries and there was no disruption any more. Than I fitted the eco-friendlies in the magic mouse of the other Mac and yes, the BT was interrupted quite often as in the first one. So, I conclude that it all depends on the batteries.

Hot Dang!!!! this worked!!! This actually freakin' worked!!!!! I cut an index card so that 4 thicknesses of the card would fit between the batteries ..... and ...... instead of 'lost connection' every few seconds, I've used this mouse for 10 minutes without a single lost connection. Way to go, Joe!!!!

Are you having disconnection issues with the Magic Mouse 2? If so, it's probably not the battery in that case. The bluetooth connection gets inferences quite easily with other wifi/bluetooth/radio and even hard drives. Since we are usually around a whole host of radio signals everywhere. I do find that bluetooth isn't very stable at times.

Shouldn't do. It's only a mouse and double AA batteries. Wouldn't draw enough amp/current to heat up the battery. 🤔

*FYI :* The new re-chargeable magic mouse also disconnects randomly, albeit not as often ! My go to when that happens is to turn wi-fi off on my Mac, the mouse reconnects almost immediately, then enable wi-fi again 🤦‍♂

I think the problem on top is the fact we're surrounded by so many wireless devices now days. Occasionally I get wifi or bluetooth device issues also with other bluetooth devices.

It's just worked for me, but I'm interested in any relevant information that you can add to the knowledge base. Also as far as I know all Apple Magic Mice are wireless and all have batteries. The first series had AA cells and the second have rechargeable batteries.
