Right now I listen to music on Amazon Music and Samsung Music. The former app is unfortunately buggy. The latter works great.

I only use cds and cassettes for portable listening. My sister wanted my music so I had to learn to use Apple Music so I can put it in a mixtape for her. This guide was very useful.

Great video, very informative and full of useful information. I am a long time Pandora subscriber that is just learning Apple Music now because I was given an AppleOne subscription. I am hoping that this will ease the transition and migration from Pandora to AppleMusic. My only suggestion, albeit based on one of my personal pet peeves, is that the narrator learn the proper pronunciation of the word "Library." There should be a distinctive Bra sound after the first syllable.

you dont necessarily need a subscription or internet connectino to use that app. if you connect an iphone to a mac or macbook you can just drag and drop music/video files into the iphone. Just like moving image files from a camera to a laptop. So you listen to your favourite songs without paying any money.

So what does "loving" a song do? Can I, per artist, easily get to all songs I've loved by that artist and start a shuffle between them?

That can be done by viewing artists in your library. Liking a song will allow the Apple Music app to suggest similar music when the auto play feature is on

Yeah you should be able to. Just set up a smart playlist (I think they can only be done on a computer) with 2 rules. 1. Song has to be favourites and 2. The artist has to be X. Smart Playlists also auto update so whenever you favourite another song by that artist it will get added to that playlist without manual input.

Quick question, does the Apple Music Family Plan allow plan members to all use Djay app integration ? I ask this because Tidal have just announced that in mid-April 2024, Djay app integration will be discontinued in the Tidal Family Plan, and will only be available for those on Tidal Individual subscriptions.

Exactly! Switched over to iphone from an android and my playlists collected and created from ripped CD's refuse to sync with the phone. All playable on Apple music on my computer but greyed out on my phone. Nobody can give me an explanation. The phone says to turn on sync with Apple music on my computer but it is synced. Apple Music is a bust for me.

Bruh why is Apple Music on my phone taking a album I purchased (which wasn’t doing this before) that has as an example 23 tracks. And then of the 23 tracks it’s taking 2 of them and has it as a separate album on its own. Like how do I fix that? Me clicking on “show complete album” does nothing. I used to have pandora premium free from AT&T for years. I loved it. It was obvious the audio quality was just ..less then apple. I now have 5 home pod minis and an Apple TV so looking at apple music again. I have AirPods Pro so really liking the spacial audio. Amazon music isn’t bad but it’s not part of the apple eco system.

For groups/artists I want to support via digital purchase - and stack up as backups in case streaming changes or if I ever have to unsub - I buy mp3s from Amazon Music. Now, no, these aren't lossless or Atmos. As for iTunes.... I don't know how - or if - file purchasing works on Apple/iTunes. Probably not lossless if it does work, though.

I am finding that the “Suggest Less” button is useless. Not only do I continue to get the same genres, I get the same artists. The best part of pandora is being able to choose an artist and get a variety of songs and then be able to shuffle between the playlists
