My husband went into the military instead of college. His brother went to college. Guess who makes more. My brother-in-law has to borrow money from us. He pays it back on time, every time. And, he’s never shown any disrespect to me, who only has a GED.

While it is at least 4 years of studying and taking exams, it does not make you better than anyone else unless you apply what you learned and earn respect from others. If you attend only for bragging rights, and expect the connection to the school to guarantee success in the future, you will be in for a shock.Skills and knowledge can be learned without a fancy degree.

College grads do make much more money and have more qualifications than HS grads but it’s not a moral failure, reflection of morality, or evaluation of value as a person.

Well, it does prove that you are able to learn. The career I had was at a company that made no use of my actual degree, but the degree still mattered. It meant I was trainable.
