My older brother had that mindset. Back in the day, my older brother grinned and smirked that if our father had a crown and castle, he would inherit everything, and I would get nothing. Well, I innocently remarked that Uncle Joseph is our father's older brother. If there was a crown and castle, our cousin John would inherit everything! My brother scowled at me!! My mother just laughed and congratulated me!!

Nice. I have all older siblings. Sometimes, they exhibit this mindset too. But, fun news, if my parents had a ton of money I'D be the one to receive it. Not because of favoritism or anything though, but because I'd be the only one who they would/would have (dad's gone) trusted with it. And I know this because before he died Dad told my aunt that out of all his kids, he was proud of me because I was the only one who had ever paid him back after borrowing money. And Mom because I've never asked her for money without paying it back immediately. Actually, I'm the one who will be in charge to disperse any inheritance and/or give out money, and that is because my Mom said "You're the only one who I can trust to actually share with your brothers after I'm gone." I'm waiting for the day (FAR in the future) where I can whip that out at them! Hehehe

Very well, put to your smart Alec brother. It was in the old old old days that people get left their inheritance to the oldest son, even in the Scandinavian countries and Norway, etc., the oldest son got it all which was not fair, especially like if you had seven daughters and one son the only one who got $.10 was the oldest son. One way to keep the property in the family, but not fair to anybody. So people who are dumb enough to think that this is still the rule really need to get in touch with the lawyer and find out what the real truth is. Everybody shares.

I could just see that daughter-in-law and her husband moving into the barn with no electricity, no running water, and no bathroom, I would hope that she wouldn’t Peed on her leg when she’s running down to the gas station! I don’t know how people can be so demanding just because they say “I do “. Marriage doesn’t make everything happen that way. It’s funny she didn’t make any of those expectations known when she was getting married to her husband, or his family, she just assumed that they would move into the house and that the sister would just say yeah I’ll move out no problem. That is mythical thinking. Anyway it sounds like she’s getting just exactly what she deserves. Her mother is a Budyanskiy and she’s going to be one heck of a mother-in-law to deal with

@@cynthiagreske5957 Let me tell you how this story ends. Dad died in 2010. Mom died in 2017. Two months before mom died, little sister mom's "golden girl" had widowed mother write a new will. Little sister gets 100%. Seeing my brother's face was priceless! In 2018, little sister's husband divorced little sister to take half of the loot! No honor among thieves. Then, little sister passed away in 2021 due to Covid. Ex-husband got whatever little sister had not burned through. Daughter had a GoFundMe page to raise enough money to get little sister cremated. Pfft, give me that barn and i'd be a happy camper. I've got no problem having an outhouse put in out back. I've hauled water inside when i had no running water inside before. I've cooked meals on a charcoal grill when a huge storm knocked power out for a while. I've heated water on the grill for doing dishes and the same for baths. No forget this. Haven’t even finished the story and I already loathe Kristen. My mom is also a single mom raising 3 TEENAGERS. She gets up at 4am to go to work (in the military) to put food on the table and clothes on my back for my siblings. When I was younger she had to miss most Christmas’s and birthdays because she was overseas. And she already has a set plan for when my siblings and I go off to college. She hates to mooch off of people and works to make sure she can stand on her own to feet. I’m sorry but Kristen playing the single mom card makes me infuriated and I can’t stand to see her bitching about having to work hard. Guess what, most people do it and that’s the whole point of life. Everything you get in life you earn it and if Kristen hasn’t learned that lesson by now then she hasn’t worked for anything either. And they think this will happen if they start crap with a member of that family and demand that the family member leave, while telling all their plans to that family member. Why do all these married people need separate bedrooms - one for the husband and one for the wife? None of them actually sleep together? Take turns going to the separate bedrooms when they have sex? I can understand needing a room for a home office or even having a separate‘living’ room for the married couple away from anyone else living in the home. But separate bedrooms? Why?
@ACCER Жыл бұрын
Often it's a sleep issue. My husband and I have been happily married for nearly 30 years.....most of that with separate bedrooms. He likes the room hot, bright, and noisy. I like it cold, dark, and quiet. We can't dim the lights enough for both our comforts.....there is a 10 degree difference in temperature settings, and he's hard of hearing while I have perfect hearing......so we can't get the sound level to a point that is comfortable for both of us. He has his room, I have my room, and we "visit" each other frequently. Sometimes, we even sleep in the same room....but it's rare because one of us will not sleep well. We are fortunate that we can do this because we have the bedroom space. This is really not as uncommon as many think that it is. You can be completely compatible in every other aspect of your relationship but if you aren't sleep compatible it can cause havoc on every aspect of your life.
