Spouses don’t pay compensation either. The third party of an affair might, but proving the three things in court are nearly impossible. You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning while getting eaten by a shark than getting that. Besides all but six states are no-fault divorce states. Means the divorce reason doesn’t matter. It’s called alienation of affection, improperly translated as compensation.

I’m sorry but these voices aren’t the best. The “you left without permission” from the husband makes no sense. Even though she cheated, she has EVERY right to leave him even WITHOUT permission. And Gerald can’t demand compensation, not alimony, from his AP because what happened to him were consequences of his own actions.
