Why didn't he sue his ex-boss (& her, just for good measure in case she ever got any $) even though he quickly lined up another job? What if that startup didn't work out as fast or well as he thought & he needed to look again but his last job was claiming he was fired for incompetence? He should've made sure he had a cushion of $ to help him be more secure.
