In some regions they have to at least give the employee a certain amount of time before firing, for legal reasons. In the United States that’s not so much of a thing, but in most places of Europe, they have contractual laws that require a certain amount of time for employment.

@@RedRose0395 People always ask "what if they were allergic? they wouldn't be that dumb right?". Yeah no, they *are* that dumb. A friend of mine outed the food thief by accident with peanut sauce. She was actually allergic to most nuts and decided to steal food. He got in trouble until they realized who it was (and he pointed out he was the actual victim and had rights, one of which was to sue them for their lax security measures). Girl was sneaking into the break rooms for other departments and stealing food, which is how she never got caught. She had even stolen a master key card to the buildings to do this, among other much more illegal things.

@@_Fizel_ I get what you’re saying, I thought by saying it in a short way, it would make sense. But let me be more specific on my reply when I read yours. What I mean is, what if Stella had an allergic reaction, and nobody was there to help her? That’s what I meant. And don’t worry. I know that in the end, it’s all her fault. People like her can try to sue that person all they want, but how can they when they were the one that stole that person’s lunch? Pretty crazy if you ask me. And reading your story, I hope that lunch thief learned her lesson, and got fired.
@_Fizel_8 ай бұрын
@@RedRose0395 Yeah I get it. Just wanted to toss in my relevant story. And oh she got more then fired. I have to be somewhat vague cause of government based work my friend does. But there was a reason different departments had different buildings, and why she could only get in with a stolen master card. She was *VERY MUCH* not allowed where she was going, like, *illegally* so. She is very much in prison. And, as my friend puts, "all cause of some damn nut sauce".

Whoever wrote this doesn't know what "alimony" is. Alimony would be spousal support and would be granted to the spouse who earns less. What the writers should have written is "compensation". I've noticed this misunderstanding of "alimony" in a few of these stories.
