I'm not positive if it's true, but I've heard that if you tell the doctor you're being pressured to be tested for organ donation and don't want to do it they're supposed to just tell the people you're not a match.

OMG, does Faye have a death wish? YOU DO NOT TELL YOUR ABUSER THAT YOU ARE FILING LEGAL CHARGES! YOU DO NOT FURTHER ANTAGONISE THEM BY SAYING YOU ARE GETTING A RESTRAINING ORDER! You make a plan to escape, you follow through with that quietly, then you file what you need to when you are in a safe space to do so. Telling your abuser that you plan on leaving them and that you are filing things with a lawyer, including a restraining order gets abuse victims killed.

If this is a cultural thing where arranged marriages are common, you can't file for a divorce as easily as others can. I know somebody from school that has attempted to flee and divorce her husband that she was forced to marry many times over the years. Due to their culture and beliefs towards divorce, getting one is difficult, especially when you have an abusive husband... and this woman's husband is abusive. The value of girls and women in their society is so low that they aren't even considered human beings, they are considered the property of their husband... and if they don't have husbands, they are the property of their fathers, brothers, uncles- etc. So just because you have a woman who is forced to stay with her husband, it doesn't mean she's weak or stupid. Did you not hear how this was an arranged marriage? This definitely can be a cultural thing where she feels she's got no other options but to stay married to this monster.
@dragonfliesnh42043 ай бұрын
You can still be married and call your spouse an ex, especially in the process of going through a divorce and separation. Ex is just a label, not a legal term.

Why doesn't she file a defamation lawsuit .
@ladylunaginaofgames403 ай бұрын
She did
@freyasslain22033 ай бұрын
@@ladylunaginaofgames40 I saw that she filed for divorce . To file a defamation suit requires immense labors. Far more than she said . The biggest burden is establishing the burden of proof that what he did caused her professional hardships . That the slander prevented her from earning money. As for emotional damages , the burden of proof is also very difficult because she would have gone to a psychologist or some mental health expert , who would have to conduct an assessment . She would have to prove beyond " A preponderance of doubt " that his slander caused some mental health issues .
@Eevie3613 ай бұрын
@@freyasslain2203 If she made the decision not to go forward with filing a defamation lawsuit, I feel that her reasoning not to do so would be exactly what you said in this comment. She would have had to do a lot to prove that defamation occurred... and since Faye is an abuse victim at the hands of this man, she probably wanted to get as far away from him as possible when she got her divorce. Sometimes these court proceedings take some time and she probably had to go through hell and back just to get a divorce from her abuser. I assume that at the end, she decided not to follow through with getting damages for the defamation? A lot could have gone into this decision. I know that if I was married to an abuser like Paul, I'd want to be done as quickly as possible with the divorce so I could run away as far as I could from this man. People like Paul have the mindset to commit murder out of revenge and it doesn't matter that he's sick. There's so many girls and women out there that are fleeing abusive relationships that are ruthlessly murdered by their partners... and it doesn't even matter how sick these men are, either.
@freyasslain220318 күн бұрын
To prove Defamation is a far standard of burden of proof . You only have to establish Beyond a Proponderance of doubt not Beyond a shadow of a doubt . Big difference . The only burden a plaintiff would have to establish , is proof that the Defamation hurt her professionally and that the Defamation caused her financial damage .

Most definitely views Faye as less than human. There's so many girls and women that are trapped in marriages with men that view them as less than. Which seems to give them the excuse to treat these girls/women like crap. People like Paul view women as their property to do with as they please.
