My husband has never shot down any of the things I ever wanted to do with my life. When we met, I was still in school going for my PhD and he supported me every step of the way. He never cared what I did, as long as I was happy. I have always taken care of him, our kids, our home and our pets, but I have my own career as well and he has always been so very supportive of me. He’s even the kind of man that doesn’t care if I make more money than him (which I have for many years of our marriage), he even jokes that he’ll retire early and become a house husband. I would be fine with that but, I love being the woman of the house, caring for him and our children while also working, has completed all my dreams in life. He can take an early retirement but I will stay the woman of the house haha. I couldn’t stay with a man like this, that thinks he should “do better, be better” than his wife. It’s such an old and disgusting why of looking at life

My husband and I have been married for 37 years, and he always made a lot less than I did. Then, almost 16 years ago, he became a federal mine inspector with MSHA. After getting screwed a couple of times in jobs, I finally took an early retirement. He said he always had respected me because I always had supported myself and didn't want to quit working a long time ago to become a housewife.

I'm the other way. When I had our daughter 24 years ago, I became a housewife. Until a recent injury, I did work part time. That said, he's more concerned with me being completely recovered than the money. (I fell, injured my back & gave myself a brain bleed). Now, I'm looking for something I can possibly do from home part time to make up my income. So that I can meet him (OTR trucker) I need something VERY flexible. The fact that this guy thought that him quitting a job to start a business was equivalent to her re-entering the work force just made me shake my head.....

Buying a cheaper house is better than buying an expensive house. It’s worth fixing up the house and making an investment on it. It has nothing to do with living next to a store. I have mobility issues from the pandemic, the hills and the fact that I was hit by a car . I rely on doing small projects as long as the weather permits me to do it because my condition gets worse in cold weather!

But if the husband has never once did any kind of investments in his life then the business that he tries to start up will go belly up in no time flat.
