I hope Chris is miserable, given everything he's been shunned for the affair turned marriage at his old job & then it got worse when it was found out Lizzie lied about the kids being his. He may have possibly gotten away from everything(unless his ex-coworkers have friends at his new company) but he's likely upset cause the family he's always wanted is gone cause his new wife turned out to be a worse cheater than him, he'll never have biological children & his first wife wants nothing to do with him. I also hope karma hits Lizzie's affair partner/the kids' bio dad. I want to imagine Lizzie manages to prove to people he's the dad & calls him out for failing to take responsibility, this leads to people getting pissed & the guy forced to help Lizzie out. Eventually things fall apart & family adopt the kids(they deserve better people in their lives & Lizzie acts like even though she can earn money she can't do shit without help) but Lizzie is still forced stay at her job cause she now owes child support. By some miracle Chris is no longer on the hook for anything & the bio dad manages to agree to a lump sum before just leaving when it's all over cause his life is ruined & he has no reason to be with Lizzie anymore. I want to imagine Lizzie is walking home or whatever one day, upset nothing has worked out for her anymore & even her own family cut contact & won't let her see her kids.(The only reason she knows they're alive is cause she pays child support) At some point Lizzie sees OP happy & she realizes OP not only got remarried but is pregnant & has kids. Lizzie is left with the knowledge that despite everything OP eventually found a better family & Lizzie can't try anything.

Depends on the country's laws. When your in a country heavily influenced by Christianity, "Thou shall not covet another's wife" becomes a sin you can get arrested for along side the affair partner. If you have children, the one who _didn't cheat_ gets *heavily favored by the court* as breaking a marriage vow regardless of financial ability is detritimental to the child/children's growth. It isn't exactly alimony but compensation for breaking a marriage and child support. Contesting visitation rights is also in favor of the faithful ex-spouse. An actual divorce doesn't happen but a *_legal seperation_* where they no longer get to live under the same roof. The cheating ex-spouse will have to walk on eggshells though since they *STILL* can't live under the same roof with their affair partner. Less they get jailed for a two years or even less, depends if the faithful ex-spouse hounds them and sues them for concubanage.

Then again I am not very social at the best of times. I didn’t even realize that I was dating the Air Force pogue who eventually ended up asking me to marry her. Her boss and someone I count as a close friend actually pulled me aside and had “the talk”, it took me a few weeks to actually ask her if we were dating. I did however consult with my squad and to a man they all said yes. Evidently there was a betting pool, a guy we called Rabbit won the pot.
