In my divorce, I was not entitled to his restored car or land holdings, but he was entitled to half of the value of my financial accounts from the date of the marriage.

Depends on the culture of the Countries that these stories are originally taken from. Saying that, here in England (I am going back some years here) my Brother's Gym-Master at his School was having an affair. His Wife found out and took all his laundry into the Gym where the boys were in the middle of a class. She emptied it all out in front of the whole class and said something like 'If she is sharing your bed then she can do your bloody washing too!' Of course, this all went round the School like wild-fire. The Headmaster was NOT happy to say the least!

This story is too dumb, with some of the stupidest ideas and dialogues. When he said he wanted her gone out of the house, protagonist should've had a strong rebuttal because she inherited the house from her father. Instead the writer thought making it a suspense by not mentioning it would sound good, but it sounds too crappy and idiotic.
