Gotta love step-family kids who actually go for people who love them and not just "blood related"

Wouldn't Janet have become a grandma, not great-grandma, since Jim was her step-SON?

I think they were trying say she was great at being a grandmother, but it got lost in translation.

Do people not understand English? It means Janet was great as a grandma. Also other than saying she was the step grandmother she wouldn’t be called step grandma. I had a step grandma and when I was younger(and liked her) I called her “grandmommy”, especially because at the time I had 3 grandmothers so I needed to call each something different. As I got older and learned her true nature I changed to calling her by her first name. I came to not really liking her as I go older since I found out more family secrets, the biggest being that she and my grandpa had an affair for years before he divorced my Nana, and they were 31 years apart, he started an affair with her when she was barely out of her teens, kinda sick if you ask me. There are a lot of age differences in our family but theirs was a bit much to take, I didn’t know they were that far apart until I was older, thought it was 20 not 31. Both are gone now so don’t have to worry about dealing with her anymore, she was also nuts so that didn’t help.

Jack had gotten what he deserved for being a Shallow Hal and cheating on Janet! It's a shame that never happens in the real world.

In this instance alimony is the correct word not compensation.
@ThePhimotion

Lol I take it that it also drives you mad when they say "alimony" for something that definitely isn't alimony, like compensation between mom friends or compensation from work places lol. Always drove me bonkers. Alimony is definitely correct in this instance XD.

My stepfather raised me and my sister and we loved him dearly until he passed five years after our mother passed. Love given usually means love received. He loved us and we loved him.

she is a great grandma because she loved and raised Jim most of his life and so she became a "great" grandma to his child and as for step, it a term that is worthless to add when you are loving and supportive through out the child's live which she was so she just became a mom and a grandma

The ending is too hilarious, dumbass thought he could just move on with his side hoe but then realized her behavior was too shit for someone as trashy as him. Be funny if Jack after being unable to crawl back to his wife tried talking to his son in hopes he'd accept him back. Or maybe this happens after the conversation with OP with Jack despite being told why asks him why he chose her. Jack then gets reminded what OP said when his son chews Jack out for never being there for him or even just barely helping once or twice. Jack forced to listen to his son rant about how after Jack married OP he became a deadbeat dad, sitting through the son list the many ways through his life that dad wasn't there. Jack also being forced to hear about how OP was always there & is the best person in the world. Maybe Jack whines about how raising a kid is the wife's job before seeing in his son's eyes he fucked up as moments later the son scolds Jack for believing that & maybe mocks him like "I bet after never being there for me you expect me to care for you when you're too old?" Jack is forced to realize no one wants him & his plans failed cause he was never there for his family. In the end he leaves, maybe one day he learns his son got married & has a kid. He has been beaten enough verbally to know he can't go invite himself in & doing so would get him kicked out with maybe another scolding/telling off from his son. Jack lives alone knowing he'll never meet his DIL, he'll never meet his grandchild. He lives knowing his son is the man he should have been & that the ex-wife will in fact get to meet both as given the past conversations there's no doubt that OP is still in the son's life while Jack grows old miserable/alone.

This is why I'm not quick to judge women that kill their husband's🤭.. the first question I ask is, well, what had he been doing to make her want him dead?.. I would not judge this wife if she poured some hot grits on Jim, he deserves it🙃🤭🤣.. did he really expect to use and play with her for 20yrs and didn't expect to pay and pay dearly?.. I mean, I'd want his balls in the divorce if the judge is nice enough to give'em to me.. some women might've snapped after finding out they were nothing but a servant/maid/babysitter for 20yrs.. I would just want him destitute🤧
