My son has done his own laundry since he was in the 6th grade. Only times I did it when he was still living at home , was when our dryer quit and I’d take all our laundry, clothes , towels, bedding etc to laundromat. If he was out of school, he’d help me

Yeah. My son is Type A (we jokingly call him "Sheldon") - and hated how I did laundry. Once he figured out how the buttons on the washer and dryer worked, he wanted to do his own laundry "his" way. So I moved the laundry items down to his level and away he want (supervised, of course - he was only around 7 yrs old). By the time he was in 4th grade, his "chore" was to do the household laundry. He said "As long as I don't have to change the litter boxes!" He's 21 now and the same rules apply - he does all the laundry and I clean the litter boxes. We share the cooking and other household chores while my husband helps where we tell him to help when he's home (works away from home a lot of the time). We all do the outside chores depending on individual schedules. One of the son's friends made a comment about him "doing women's work" and he was quick to point out "No, it is family work. I'm part of this family so I have chores. In return, they give me food, shelter, and the highest speed internet available in our area" (he's a gamer and all his friends love to come over with their systems because they can all play and not have any lag time so THAT part the kid understood!)

By the time I was full term I weighed 243lbs & right after I gave birth I was still around 220lbs. My ex-husband was so horrible about making fun of my weight during my pregnancy & going overboard about me needing to lose the weight fast after I give birth that things became rough. Once I’d given birth he started becoming even more verbally abusive especially targeting my weight. He went so far as to write my name on a shotgun shell telling me that if I didn’t lose the weight quickly he’d load the shotgun and “start turning off the fat himself”, needless to say that was one of the reasons he’s my EX-husband. My current husband is great & doesn’t get on me about my weight, I was around 115-120 when we got together & now I’m around 160-175(kind of bounce back & forth a lot) yet he doesn’t ever say anything to me about it. Another thing my Ex loved to do was to try to make me jealous, he was always telling me about women that hit on him when he was out, he’d get frustrated with me because I didn’t get jealous and give him the reaction he wanted. He never understood that I’m the type that when I’m in a relationship I really don’t pay attention to when someone is hitting on me & I expect my partner to be trustworthy so I don’t see the point in getting jealous. I’ve always told my partners my rules in a relationship, and the biggest is don’t cheat on me and let me find out. I’ve always told them “I don’t care where you get your appetite, just don’t take any appetizers a long the way and come home to eat”. I know that there are plenty of attractive people out there so it’s fine to look all you want but if you are in a relationship you shouldn’t pursue anyone on the side. It’s better to break off the relationship first before going after someone else than to cheat on your partner, if you do it not only shows you don’t respect your partner but you don’t have any self respect either. Another thing I’ve said to my partners is “Don’t cheat & let me find out, because I NEVER forgive & forget”, I hold a grudge forever it’s a talent😂. I’ve felt that if I don’t feel as if I can trust my partner then I have no business marrying them. Marriage is all about trust and once trust is lost there is NO WAY to get it back. So I’ve never understood those partners that are always checking on their partners constantly even if they haven’t given you a reason to. Example when my husband saids he’s going out of town to see his sister I trust him yet since he is traveling I expect him to text or call me when he gets there so that I know he’s okay. But I don’t expect him to constantly tell me where he is every minute of the day that’s just insane. If I didn’t trust him I wouldn’t have married him. Growing up my Dad had a co-worker that had a wife that was always requiring him to call her every 2 hours whenever he was out even when he was at work. Once when I was 12-13 they went with my family to Laughlin, NV & she made him stay by her side while they both played on the same slot machine, she would put the coins in & he was allowed to pull the handle. When he & Dad went off to fish she complained to my Mom about him being out of her sight, she couldn’t understand why Mom wasn’t upset with them going off on their own. Mom asked her what did she think was going to happen, it’s not like they could leave them(Mom&her) there especially since Mom had the keys to the car. Some people just aren’t meant to be in relationships.

If I had a wife who gave birth and was by Taylor's description of what happened to pregnant women, I do something about instead of being an ass. I remember one year I was without a job for 5 months, another for 8 months. All because most places said I was either over-qualifed or didn't have what they were looking for. My husband went through 10 years of not finding a full time job (jumping from contract to contract) partly because of that and a lot of companies in his field look at a person's age as well. Finally, at age 58, he got another full time job and has been there since for 4 years. HOWEVER, before people jump on me thinking I'm taking Taylor's side, I'm not. I'm only just pointing out that going finding a job is not as simple as going to any company that's offering any job and they'll take you on just like that *snaps fingers*. My hubby and I both work and do housework but like my husband 4 years ago, I'm also jumping from contract to contract because nobody seems to want to hire a 50+ year old woman with a resume filled up mostly with 20+ years at one job.

This story was unsettling: why did she tolerate his absences? why didn't his infidelity occur to her sooner? Telling the shady characters [ loan shark henchmen] is location was not a good idea [should have gone to the police]. He's a louse but I wouldn't want his blood on my hands. Finally, bragging about pregnancy weight gain without trying to get back in shape is not the best course of action, especially if she plans on more children.
