What's most terrifying about this story is the idea that such toxic, nasty people are a part of the healing profession, not out of genuine care and concern for the wellbeing of others but for power, prestige, and profit and the contempt for others to rub their noses in their "elite" status. Gross. 🤢

These types of stories are so messed up. The parent always sucks, and the sibling to a point you can feel bad for maybe seeing how they were manipulated by the parent. Yet, even with that after a while of being an adult, you would think someone could make their own decisions but I guess not in a lot of cases.

ABSOLUTELY! There's only a certain tolerance of oh they had those circumstances but never try to improve and change so pity and feeling bad for them runs out very quickly.

@@heffa3821 Oh idk, my mother tried to either directly or through neglect tried to end me several times and my sister full on went for it but got caught so it took me into my 40s to unfreeze from a trauma state enough to offload them

I can tell you they don’t get their own opinion even as adults. I can attest to that my ex husband never did till today been 2 years we divorced and were together for 23 yrs our eldest is 24 now. Still the same mama must give her opinion first believe and we are Saint Lucians and Martinique but it’s French we live in France because he is in the army, so exception for us.

Could this be the metaphor “chickens coming home to roost”? Mom seems to be that nasty form of delusional, but it looks maybe she is available. For the life of me it is impossible to come up for activities for a first date with this woman. In real life think it through legitimately where would you take her? So how could she be sewn back into real relations?

What the heck is “working overseas as an elite”? Once again, doesn’t anyone talk? Jasmine doesn’t know who her husband’s older brother’s wife is? Don’t the brothers talk. I mean he was invited to the wedding. I kind of agree with Jasmine. Doesn’t anybody talk? Lucas never said anything? But Clare WAS invited Mom. She came with the groom’s brother, Will. Well it seems Jasmine came to her senses…well sort of. What? They drugged her food so she would pass out? Ridiculous. How does Will know all this about Jasmine? Maybe he and Lucas do talk. Geez! What did mom do to Lucas? What? She knocked Lucas out with her purse? Well that’s one way to get him back! And she was packing! Mom is a psycho!
