Yup. Other than dramatic license, there was no reason for this story to go on as long as it did. 😂 I’m not one for physical violence, but people like MIL clearly didn’t get the crap beat out of them as much as they probably needed.

Yes and No. Think of a prison cell like a fortress, the loan sharks can't break her legs for not paying. The government is (supposed to) protect the inmates from outside threats the same as it is protecting the general populace from the inmates. Meaning if she got arrested it would actually be beneficial for Kathy.

YOU shouldn't even have to "tell your spouse" Bible says: For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. The man simply has to leave his father and mother the moment he gets married.

First, if someone had an unauthorized key made for my apartment/house, I would have had the locks changed. Second, I would have had security cameras installed both outside and inside my apartment/house for added security. Third, I would have invested in a safe, or a lockable heavy duty file cabinet to store my wallet, credit cards, debit cards, financial statements, etc. from prying eye and sticky fingers. Fourth, I would have pressed charges on the person whom stole from me regardless whom they were. Lastly, if the thief still caused me problems after getting bailed out of jail, a restraining order as well as secretly moving somewhere else would definitely be an option.

The fun thing about banks now-a-days, hop onto their app and with one click here and a swipe there, you can shut off the card when you find out it's no longer in your possession. MIL would've been seething in whatever store she was trying to shop in when the card was shut off. And most likely detained since it wouldn't make sense to shut off your own card when you go shopping.
