@@ballet07you're right in one sense, but i have no idea which side you're saying this too. the first one to fail to follow the truth of what you said is at fault and doesn't get to claim self-defense. so if you're saying this about the man who RAN after teenagers and grabbed them (the earliest moment on video evidence shows the initial interaction between the murderer and the kids, where he grabs the one filming by the leg and then grabs their tubes) for no apparent reason other than him claiming he was searching for a phone (on the riverbed, not in possession of these kids btw). what reason would you have to sprint at some kids in the water and then grope one of their legs if you're simply scanning the riverbed for a phone? the kids found him to be creepy and told him to get lost, but would have been right to use minimal necessary force the moment he grabbed one of them. his refusal to leave them alone escalated to a pushing match because of his refusal to mind his own business. him stabbing 5 people, atleast 2 of which never even touched him, is a murder caused by his harrassment and refusal to leave.

@@ivanahtoong8492 did you control your impulses and assess consequences as a teen? Especially in a group setting? Because being an independent thinker is even hard for adults let alone children. Im pretty sure that even if they had enough emotional maturity to preemptively analyze the consequences... their friend being gutted as a result of name calling and being annoying wasn't something that anyone would assume would be an outcome or justified. Again, teenagers are scientifically proven to still lack forethought, empathy and self discipline no matter how well they were raised... Their brains are quite literally still developing vs a grown man who is fully developed cognitively, intelligent enough to speak 5 languages yet chooses to stick around escalating the situation instead of just being the adult, ignoring them and reporting them for causing a disturbance, disrupting the piece or underage drinking to an authority figure. He had better options that would still get him justice. But his pride took over. He also had the confidence of knowing he was armed. Defense counsel made a clown out of his testimony. Yet more proof a lynch mob was forming that this guy had to fight his way out of. Very interesting these two groups of people felt so entitled to tell this middle-aged man what to do and where he could go -- on public land. I wonder if they would have acted like this had any of the defendant's demographic details been even slightly different? Both groups sure seemed to think they had extra privileges and the right to do anything they wanted -- might makes right in their community, I guess. Btw, are NCAA athletes supposed to have a history of underage drug use? I saw on Twitter that one of the teens is a wrestler now. If that's true, I have to wonder about the NCAA rules and the judgment of that school. Such "outstanding" examples of thuggery.... I mean athletic and academic excellence! Imagine if there was no video to show us how disgracefully both groups acted towards a defendant that they all easily outnumbered and were in far better physical shape than. And what's with everyone getting super-loaded and high going down this river? Is that not illegal? I heard it was against the law to be intoxicated in public, let alone navigating a waterway. @@bigislander72 Exactly! Even riding a bicycle drunk can get one a DUI/DWI etc. in many places. Sad that we have to crack down on this on something that was probably mostly harmless fun and a way to let off steam, but in this case there are multiple minors doing multiple substances, no parental supervision, yet these same teens are in many cases bigger than the adults (the guy taking the second vid currently wrestles in the 285 pound class. That is a huge man, not a child). The whole premise that anyone was helping "kids" or "teens" is laughable. This was turning into a drunken lynch mob, and they started actively assaulting their target. Turns out that was a mistake. Too many people were far too drunk and out of control, and as usual, drunks started fights. Everyone involved in those two groups knows they are facing a massive civil suit either way, and are trying to keep the testimony "safe" for that, but they should all be ashamed of themselves. They really seemed to think they were entitled to go after someone like that based on nothing, and in a situation that didn't need to happen.

These kids all lied and are getting caught lying

Funny because the witness whose testimony you're calling all lies wasn't even with the original party who had the altercation with the stabber. I guess in your world strangers lie for strangers.

They sure should be! Like the attorney said, that makes you look kinda bad, you understand that? Only telling he only drank 2 beers, and not telling that is just redonkulous! Oh I've been waiting for that to be asked. What a dumb ass🕳️!

I heard that it is a huge Tourist Destination in the region, that makes millions. The State really doesnt want people to be scared of tubing there and drinking there even if they are underage Which is why they have to get a conviction.
