Your determination is quite encouraging. Not only did you stick it out, but I know that you’ll tackle it again. Thanks.

The only problem with those refractometer is the ambient temperature makes a humongous difference. When it gets really really cold or really, really hot, it will read it differently.

Don’t know if it’s just my luck or not, but I really have to watch my still heating up or my rye will try to puke. Great videos.

Throw in a knob of butter. It’ll change the surface tension and reduce puking. And make sure you are heating up slowly! Hope this helps!

Well......Looks like it turned out just fine. Sometimes a recipe will surprise you. Have had what I thought were sure things be duds and ones that I thought would be terrible turn out darn good. Have never made anything that wasn't drinkable, just that some are better than others.....Salud (Cheers)

For me to get the full effect of wood chips and or sticks I'm at 120 to 110 prof and add the apple juice after aging.
@Rubberduck-tx2bh6 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's what I was thinking also. But cutting it with apple juice vs distilled water (post-oaking) I might try on small scale to see if I like it.

You need to put a window AC into your brew house

2.8 liter of 55% ABV needs only 1 Liter Of apple juice to be 40 % ! not 2 liters . your calculator is not right! now your final ABV is less than 32%
@WheelingwiththeWheelers5 ай бұрын
Yes, sorry Randy but he is right your ABV calculation is off! Great video anyway😅

I know the free music is limited and I like your channel, appreciate all the recipes and mash bills, I'm just on the fence about using the same music as bearded and bored. At first I thought it was just a nod or shout out to him which is cool but it's several videos in now with that music. It's petty I know and I'm not gonna stop watching just something I think about when I watch, makes me just kinda cringe a little. Sorry.
