No Classic USB-A is inconvenient but ultimately a good thing. It’s a bad port because it’s directional but hard to tell which way is up. USB-C is just better and should’ve replaced everything a decade ago. Nice video tho 👍🏻

-USB-C has been out for 10 years. -There are USB-C to USB-A adapters available for 3 bucks, you don't need the Apple one. -Most wireless mice can pair via Bluetooth as a higher latency alternative to a dongle. -More versatile and adaptable ports are a better option than committing limited real-estate and available USB controllers on the chipset to ports you could end up not using.

I like USB-C, but the accessories market has yet to catch up with it. USB-A hasn’t phased out totally yet. USB-C/ Bluetooth mice/ keyboards need to become affordable, and reach the same price. It’s a bigger deal for Apple’s most affordable computer. It’s about time though, you’re right, just means more money to spend annoyingly.

In my case, since 2018 if the product doesn't have USB-C I don't buy it, or if posible I replace the cables, like in old hard drives. Other thing is, if a product has USB-A ports also I don't buy it, I don't have anything with that port, I wouldn't use it, wasted space in my case.
