@@ten_tego_teges I don't doubt it, I was actually referring to the US. "...fly from Hungary to the US..." Except for the great landscapes and job opportunities, America is valueless. You can find smart youngsters there, and even some profound and wise individuals, but most youngsters are just robots glued to social media, only thinking about their looks and material possessions. The older generation is mostly comprised of bigots and nationalists. As a middle class citizen, you have to pay a bigger percentage of taxes than corporations, while working a toxic job that doesn't satisfy you and doesn't guarantee the time and money for appropriate vacations and leisure time. I'd die before being citizen of a country that spends most of it's capital for the military, while leaving education and healthcare in the hands of private corporations; Which then proceed to steal from every possible citizen until they acquire such a huge debt that not even their children will be able to pay. This is just my opinion, but I feel profound sorrow for all those poor souls that love America above everything else, regardless of how difficult their lives have been made by such a malevolent government and it's true leaders, corporations...

If KZbin actually starts putting ads on non-monetized videos by creators who never asked for them, that just goes to show how greedy this corporation can be. This thought is disgusting. KZbin is essentially making free money off small channels and not paying them a single penny. Yes, these are small channels, but since there's so many of them, KZbin will still make a huge profit off of this new policy. I don't care if KZbin hates us now, it must be said by someone. This video was incredibly slanted, and massively outdated since the Republican Oligarchy passed the tax giveaway to companies like Apple, and republo-fascist donors like Adelson and the Koch's. Ireland's policy of "beggar thy neighbor" by racing to the bottom and literally stealing tax revenue is not a sustainable model, as it relies on being a tax haven, and if everyone did that, then Ireland would lose all of the phony tax dodge companies that were invented exclusively for tax avoidance.

That's misleading, it implies Apple went "Oh, there's a cool dude, let's grab him and dump this company". Instead, what happened was that Apple booted their cofounder out of leadership deciding they didn't need him anymore, so he quit, then went on to demonstrate far greater business skills than Apple now had, so Apple bought him back giving him 1.5 million shares since Jobs also founded NeXT. NeXT wasn't just dumped either, it was merged into Apple.

Ya Boi Apple makes billions. You pay 500 for one apple stock. Apple says "don't worry, we have lots of money. We won't go bankrupt" apples stock price drops to 450. Although apple has billions of dollars, you don't see that, you see that you just lost 50 bucks. So although Apple would say "we can make iPhones until the end of time and never go out of business no matter how much we lose" what you hear is "apple can make iPhones into the end of time and never go out of business and every year my stock is worth less and less" So although apple would be wise to sit on all this money. Investors (like you) want them to spend it so they can make even more money. Stockholder desires isn't the same desire as the company. If Apple bought a bunch of companies. If the iPhone fails, your stock is still safe because they own a lot of stuff. If Apple doesn't buy companies and the iPhone fails. You're screwed.

But at a certain point, Apple's stock would bottom out to at least have a market capitalization equaling the cash/cash equivalents it owns. If it had $285 billion in the bank (say $225 billion after repat taxes) then the stock price would at least equal $225 billion/ the number of outstanding shares. That would be the cheapest it could ever be worth, and assumes zero value on the non-cash assets, the IP, and earning potential of the firm (all of which have intrinsic value). From a technical POV, yes Apple stock is not great in the grander scheme given its current position; but from a fundamentals POV its the golden goose: proven sales, very little leverage, high profit margins, etc. Those who own the stock should hold it for as long as they can, unless things really change.

ehmm guys? "specially would not be apple". Well I'm completely sure Elon won't sell Tesla to any company but why do you say especially not Apple? First of all Elon is a big fan of Steve Jobs and you can clearly see how the model 3 is inspired or at least have a lot of similar thinking to Apple design. I've even seen iMacs in Teslas physical stores. I get that you don't like(hate) Apple but why would your opinion have anything to do with what Tesla thinks. I've heard people complain about how the Teslas Android app sucks compared to iOS (not sure if thats still the case). If it's one company that Tesla would sell themselves for I'd say it's Apple. However that won't happen so we'll never know. Please give me some arguments to why you think "especially not Apple", I'm honestly interested because I just think you don't like Apple and hope other people thinks the same thing

King Kaiden Not technically, there would still be other corporations selling phones, computers and tablets. Only without any corporate operating system from that point on. If Apple would own Android and Windows (an impossible investment at this point especially since a part of Android runs under GPL but lets imagine here) then companies would have to come up with 10 years of Operating System development on mobile platforms and about 25 years on Desk- and Laptops. It would be a monopoly without technically being one and also 100% legal. However even they don't have the money to buy these companies, not at the moment.

Can you make a video to explain how Shipping Carriers get away with the money racquet scam of " insurance " on items shipped. Items shipped are in their possession during shipping yet they accept NO responsibility if an item is lost, damaged or stolen. That's like lawn man saying it'll cost you $40 to cut your grass then asking you if you want to give him an additional $15 incase he runs over your mailbox or backs his mower up into your car and if he does and you hadn't paid the $15 you're responsible for something HE did. That's like a waitress bringing your food to the table and dropping the plate of food on the way then telling you it's your fault and you still have to pay for the food because you didn't pay $7 for insurance on the plate.

Flash Bullshit. How many meaningful jobs can Apple actually create in the US? How many engineers, developers, and designers can they hire before they get diminishing returns? There's an upper limit to those positions, and more than likely, they're already filled. Even if they expanded, it's only going to create new jobs in Silicon Valley, which isn't going to benefit the nation as a whole, and is only going to raise the cost of living in the area. That gentrification decimates the service industry that provides the infrastructure required to support the people who work for companies like Apple. Suddenly, their 6 figure salary is mostly going towards their hyperinflated rent and grocery bills. Any other jobs Apple creates are low-wage positions in their Apple Stores, and maybe some tech support positions that haven't already been outsourced. Apple actively suppresses any 3rd party activity, so it's not even making jobs for independent technicians or 2nd hand resellers. Most of the money they reinvest will be in manufacturing, but those jobs aren't going to be in America, they're going to be in China where they already have factories, or in developing countries where they can get away with paying slave wages and polluting the environment.

@TheJMilea
@TheJMilea 5 жыл бұрын
The lowered corporate tax actually made it harder for Apple to get around paying their taxes, they even had to pay back taxes because of the changes enacted. They got no money back. Also, the lower corporate tax helps to keep companies from offshoring so much. Apple offshores the entire manufacturing process of all its products, and so do other companies. It is because they have to pay minimal taxes overseas, hire dirt cheap labor, and they can claim a huge portion of profit AND expenses not in the US. Another thing; here in China they still have to pay the import tax on their products, even though every product is fully manufactured here, but they don’t actually pay it. They instead increase their products price here on top of the tariff that China already has had implemented on all foreign products. So the import tax is actually paid for by the consumer.

Nonsense. That is a misrepresentation of his management style, and also how big a company apple has been. The problem with apple is that the product designers are considered the "secret of apple's success", whereas the computer scientists and software engineers are not taken seriously. That was not Steve Jobs policy or ethic. Steve Jobs cared about quality and wanted apple's technology to revolutionise human society. Hence crappy stuff that nobody wants... Or just kicking the can down the road... you can go work for some other company.

"When the US lowers it's corporate tax..." Then people wonder why the economy is stagnating...
@Amir-jn5mo
@Amir-jn5mo 4 жыл бұрын
Yes blame it on taxes and not loopholes and greedy ass companies wanting to freeze their money instead of paying for it.
@Albanez39

@@Amir-jn5mo Both my friend. The same people that are trying to lower taxes for the super rich, have also helped maintain those loopholes in place. The same people are also eliminating regulations, and allowing every corporation to do whatever it likes, from Big Pharma to Weapon manufacturers. And I won't blame just the Republicans...because I'm not American and I'm not brainwashed by one side or the other. Both parties are crooked and malevolent; merciless capitalists who might talk all day about racism, gays, drugs, guns, war...but they're all innit together, no matter their social views and ideologies.

Taxes do not prevent economic stagnation; they cause it.
@Albanez39
@Albanez39 4 жыл бұрын
@@PrezVeto Depends what your definition of economic stagnation is. If you're only judging by a country's GDP, or how rich are a country's biggest corporations, you're doing it wrong. I've always said: You Americans have a really contorted view of the world. Apparently not just about society, culture and politics, but also about economics. Enjoy your upper-middle class salary while millions of people have to work three jobs just to pay rent, bills and feed themselves; while hundreds of thousands are living in the streets, begging for a leftover hamburger, many of them after having fought for your privileged ass in stupid wars that have only been waged so the biggest military corporations could make billions! If you think Capitalism is a good system, or worse, a fair system, you've been heavily brainwashed. Capitalism can't allow equality, freedom, and the existence of a harmonious society; It's the biggest reason why our world is so inherently toxic (both physically and figuratively). For as long as your corporations earn billions and are able to get away without paying taxes at all (the bitter reality), democracy won't exist. And in a matter of speaking, it can't exist; It falls in the same category as Communism, Anarchism and some other less popular ideologies. They're great on paper, but they can't be put to practice. We're humans, inherently egoistical and apathetic creatures! We can only strive to implement measures in our already broken system, measures that might help the unlucky and the desperate breathe some fresh air for once...

Wasn't the corporate tax rate like 90% back in the gilded age with standard oil and all that?

I remember in 2005 when I got my first MacBook, I thought that Apple was genius for making such simple and user friendly products. Forward 13 years into the future and now they are tech juggernauts because they never changed their vision.

The Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE, using IRS Form 2555) allows you to exclude a certain amount of your FOREIGN EARNED income from US tax. For tax year 2018 (filing in 2019) the exclusion amount is $103,900. So not exactly.
