I’m a wounded warrior wife raised on a small ranch in the California mountains and now own a small body care business after retiring from my nursing career. I love to find uses for things and keep waste to a minimum and I just love your page! I just found you today and subscribed. I love it doll!❤

I love it when I see young people doing things and learning things themselves instead of just sticking their hand out and saying give it to me.

Hello 👋🏻 just wanted to thank you for making my day better. Out of a handful of people around me, you are the only one managing to make me smile, & even laugh out loud 😅 Thank you for that🙏🏻 I reckon whatever you can do with an apple 🍎 you’ve done it. Have a wonderful day ❤🙏🏻❤️

For Thanksgiving I pressure cooked my potatoes in it‼️ I think I pressured cooked for 14 minutes ♥️ Hand mashed them in the pot and set them on warm….FANTASTIC will continue that idea (pot was 2/3 full)

One thing I do when labeling my jars is using labels that dissolve when you wash the jars/lids. They stick on great & stay on until you are ready to wash them off! It’s one of the best things I personally use when I’m canning or storing food in jars.

I have dehydrated and powdered peels (apple and carrot) and greens to put in capsules for extra nutrients. I plan to do the same with future fire cider pulp. The apple pie sugar is a great idea!

Kaylee at The Honeystead made Fire Cider in a video with her mom. They then dehydrated the pulp. The ladies did put some in capsules, but also said to put in a jar and add to smoothies for a punch of flavor and benefits. Check her out, I enjoy her knowledge of herbalism.

I don't have any fruit but our local-ish butcher shop had 80-20 hamburger on sale in 10 lb rolls so I bought five rolls so I canned 20 lbs yesterday. I'll can and freeze dry the rest next week.

That apple sugar could be used on oatmeal. I think I’ll find some organic apples here in the Bronx and try the dehydrator on my air fryer and give this a try. I’m sure there has to be some sort of instruction on how to dehydrate apples. This has been very encouraging.

OMG!!!! I am so upset with myself. I just made applesauce and threw away ALL my apple scrapes. I used to give the scrapes to a friends pet pig but they no longer have her. I did not know about all the other things I could do. I could cry! I just might have to do another box of apples. Thank You for educating me.

That jar of apple sugar could have been a jar of powdered Sure Gel pectin to make jelly and jam. There are recipes on line. Just powdered apple peels and a little citric acid. Or you could have just cooked them down to make a liquid pectin. What do you use the apple sugar for? You sure are a busy lady.😊
@LittleHillHomesteadGa
@LittleHillHomesteadGa 2 ай бұрын
We use it as a finishing sugar on toast, muffins, breads. I have heard about the pectin thing. Apples and lemons if I remember correctly.

I’ll have to go dig it out. I’m not tied to it but I did get it for under $5 at a thrift store. Look around at thrift stores and any that have that metal insert grab! After Thanksgiving people realize they don’t use them and often will donate ones that are almost new.
