Based on these results, the iPhone 16 Plus is a beast of a phone for gaming. Compared to the S24U, it gets significantly higher FPS yet runs at much lower temperatures and probably uses less power. In these games, it does not matter that it is 60Hz, as the S24U cannot even break 50FPS. It makes me wonder why people believe in Samsung's vapour chamber marketing, as it was ineffective compared to the 16 Plus, which does not have one. Anyone researching smartphone vapour chambers would understand that they are too small to be effective and are just bragging rights with no active cooling. A fan at the end of the vapour chamber would disperse the heat, but with none, you rely on heat dissipation as the phone saturates. Clearly, Apple has optimised really well this year after struggling for a while. Hopefully, Samsung will learn something, and the s25U will cool better with the higher performance of the SD8G4.

This is a Samsung issue though. Red magic, OnePlus and Asus RoG or similar devices can get a consistent 60-90fps. Probably 120 but I haven't seen any hold it consistently in br atleast

This is one of many reasons for which i hate Samsung's phones. Also snapdragon gen 4(elite) is pretty good but its 30% of performance loss will be due to the cost cutting of samsung in their hardawres. We have already seen how one plus 13 series (Gen elite) chipsets perform worst in antutu compared to what was expected

This is truly impressive, because I have the 15 Pro Max and I use my wife 15 Plus to test Warzone Mobile. A17 Pro Chip in my 15 Pro Max vs the A16 Chip in the 15 Plus alone can tell you my experience. The fact that the A18 Chip is in all 16 Models, truly a game changer. I'm quite undecided. I have an iPhone 11pm and I plan to upgrade between now and February or March. I thought about the 16 Plus because of all the updates and improvements in performance that it's bringing, along with a better battery and several other improvements. But what really makes me think is... if the 15pm wouldn't be worth it. I'm very curious if the 120 Hz screen wouldn't be something significant to take advantage of, considering that neither model is a cheap purchase. Another thought would be that I wouldn't use even half of all the features that the Pro Max model offers... I'm a casual user and would have a greater focus on gaming. Actually 8 gen 3 GPU is more powerful than A17 pro Same goes for 8 Gen 4 and A18 It's all about optimizations and power consumption (and heat)
