In Jane's defense (and it's a very small defense) he didn't say "wait a year or 2" he said "several years" which is implied to be much longer. He should've laid out a timeline and communicated better. And she shouldn't be a gold digger

In that time he says "just a bit longer", "for a little longer" and "it will be several years before I will be promoted to president but after a year or 2, we can start planning the wedding" To her that probably sounded like they won't get married until AFTER he becomes parents. Not "Hey we'll get married in a year or two" He also could've asked if a long engagement would've worked. She was in the wrong for sure but I can see where she was confused. He should've laid down a more concise timeline

It always irritates me when these stories treat text messages like an actual oral conversation... You simply can't interrupt something the other person is still typing and hasn't even sent yet! E.g. the claim this mom made, that she couldn't remind her MIL of the grandsons birthday? That's just impossible! 😉 That aside: I like this kind of shorter stories, no unnecessary blowing up to reach a certain time stamp. 👍 I really had to laugh hard when Rob (?) imitated his mom Blair with his yelling! 😂 A husband backing up his wife for once, wow - loved that! But please, tell your male voice actor there is no need for him to constantly shout out his text like he is crazy! When my daughter became a teenager, she suddenly felt she could do and say anything she wanted to me and her mom.
