An infamous recent Reddit post was just like this. The bio daughter set her wedding a day after the step. But she probably picked it first and the step rushed to send out her invitations while the bio’s were at the printers. Problem? Separate states. The dad clearly favored the step, overstayed her wedding, and missed his own daughter’s wedding by getting stuck in traffic or something. Her own stepfather walked her down the aisle. The father’s family, who all attended the bio daughter’s wedding , were livid with the dad. Reddit call him an AH.

Harper seems to believe that the Dad stays married to the woman, because he doesn't KNOW what she does, but it's RIGHT THERE, so OBVIOUS during that announcement. "Shut up and let me have MY moment." You just interrupted HER moment to make it about you. He sees it. He just doesn't SEE it. And he's one of those people who think, "I don't want my step-child to think that I think she's less-than," so he overcompensates. Like that mother in the Agatha Christie mystery, who spoiled the adopted child, because "adopted children need to KNOW that they are wanted and loved," all while ignoring and/or abusing her bio-child, who apparently, doesn't NEED love, because her mother gave birth to her, and that's enough "love" to last a whole life long. Or something. Yeah, how'd that work out for ya, huh?! Spoiler: Not well.

Also, "Didn't you literally just tell me five minutes ago that he doesn't want to marry you, because he doesn't believe in labels? Was that the lie, or is this the lie? One of them has to be a lie.

I noticed something. while Allison, and Liz argue. Liz has her wedding date set for May, 19 to her marriage with Mike while Harper has her wedding date scheduled for May the 18th with Jack. In fact Liz’s wedding is exactly on the date after Harper’s wedding to Jack. So I don’t know why Allison bother to bicker about having the wedding set on the same date especially since May 19 was picked as the chosen date for the wedding of Liz and Mike, even though they chose the same venue as Harper and Jack. It’s definitely NOT on the same date. Daniel is quite mistaken.

@rachelcrawford1977 Жыл бұрын
You so do not understand the tradition and are just bashing it because you think it’s about owning women it’s not. Did you know that forever there is a thing where little girls are daddy’s princess/ pride. Little girls and dads forever if they have an normal mother father relationship have a bond with their father daddy’s little girl did not become a saying out of no where. So to show respect to this relationship the daughters suitor would go to him to show respect to this relationship and show the dad he was up for being what the dad was to the daughter. Where there fathers that sold there daughters yes rich people. Most of the time though it’s about showing respect to a bond and giving that respect back. Part of life is trusting your parents and having the new man love your family. It’s hard and painful if you have that bond to leave unless you know your dad supports you. IT’s everything to have your dad say I approve of your choice and will support you. That’s why you do it.
