Pachinko is one of the best books ever written. It holds a few peoples destiny locked in a harsh reality of what it meant to live in those ages. I have read the book twice and it's really very good. I'm so looking forward to Lee Min Ho portraying Hansu!! Though he has to be street smart to survive in every way, his divotion for Sunja never fails. And that is what I think Lee Min Ho can really get through the screen. He is one of the best actors of today!!

Lee Min Ho has a dark role this time and it is a change from his usual roles. Hansu is a man with a dark past. He's not the kind of man you introduce to your mother if you know what I mean. The trailer shows the harsh reality that Koreans went through under the Japanese occupation and what it's like to be an immigrant in another country . And how a family from generation to generation has fought to be where they are today! LMH is always very accurately and deeply immersed in the role, for me personally it is so, the penumbra of emotions and feelings are so vividly manifested in the brilliance, expression and squint of the eyes, the tension of the cheekbones, facial expressions of the mouth, the tilt of the head, in the intonation of the voice, in the movements - this is the hero I imagine in the movie / TV series, and I say - yes, this is how it should be played, there is no theatricality. A good book, a good script, two good directors, a good cast, a good production and LMH prepared and making an effort for a role that has nothing to do with his previous performances and that creates the expectation of knowing the result since there will be a before and after of Hansu in his career as an actor. Depois do exército ele voltou bem mais maduro com uma postura bem mais adulta. Deu pra ver a mudança dele quando fez o Rei Eterno. Mas a beleza e, talento e charme mudou foi pra melhor. Ele está com uma aparência mais adulta por isso ele quis mudar.

i haven’t watched a korean drama in over 5 years and with this one i have been at the edge of my seat, as soon as i watched the first free episode i had to subscribe to apple tv and ended up watching all three episodes in one sitting, now im mad cause i have to wait a WEEK for the next one. it’s honestly so so so good! and minho’s acting left me speechless . amazing production, highly highly recommend!
