TBH its not a must buy. It depends more on what kind of tech you have. If you have a non smart/old smart TV and in the apple ecosystem, then yes its a need to have must buy item. If you have a non smart/old smart TV and not in the apple ecosystem, then its a nice to have item. If you have a recent smart TV and not in the apple ecosystem, then this is definitely a luxury item.

Do these Apple TV devices have an internal memory so you can download some of your favorite movies to watch off-line if your Internet ever goes down?

While you can’t do it directly through the Apple TV interface you can do it with the help of a Mac computer. On a Mac you can open the Apple TV app and download your purchased movies (or any downloaded movies you have stored on your Mac from other sources) then In the Apple TV app on your Mac, choose File > Import. It should then be available in your home videos of the Apple TV. This will eat up quite a bit of storage quickly

I don’t get.. I got the tech. Not much time. What’s the improvement of watching Netflix on this vs. just the app on my C3 LG?

That watching experience would relatively be the same in some instances. It’s everything else that’ll be night & day better. Navigating to Netflix, less load/wait time, voice commands, better color though integrated color match tool. In some instances the app will perform better on an ATV or similar device. TV ‘s are normally bought for picture quality and manufactures cheap out on the built in processor as well as the app could be optimized to run smoother on a dedicated os like TVOS.

Love your content. Just got the Apple TV 4K, much better on my Sony Bravia than the native android menu. I did notice one glitch I wonder if you have come across. When scrolling in the Apple menu, come across a show, click on it and the swipe up to see the preview. If you hit the back button, it does not take you back to the original place in the menu you were at, but rather way up on the menu. This causes you to have to scroll down again. Have you come across this issue?

Are you referring to within the Apple TV+ app? If so, I tried to recreate the described issue and didn’t have that problem.

Nice summary. Question. Is the video quality really better now the ATV4K than other streaming devices like Firestick 4K, Chromecast, and Roku? I have other devices plugged into the same TV and I can’t really tell any difference for the same content on the same apps.

@@DarkKnight-gw4gw I think you’ll notice the biggest difference in the quality of your TV/Display monitor. IMO the Apple TV makes it easier to get the most out of your tv with the color calibration tool, matching dynamic range, etc. The A15 is able to process/load pixels quicker, but enough to notice consistently? Probably not

Honestly I got it for no ads after Roku and Google sprayed ads all over their interfaces. Retroarch compatibility is a bonus.

Yeah my experience wasn’t that great so I just returned the Apple TV. The voice command on the remote didn’t always work, and the buttons on the remote felt a little stiff and cheap when pushing them. And there is to many features that I don’t want, plus there is no USB port.

I got the Apple TV 4k but I had to disable the track pad on the remote because it was difficult using it.

I have an LG OLED C3. Apple tv+ is already on it. Is it worth getting the apple tv (and if so, wait for the next apple tv that will come out soon?)

Your experience would more than likely be better. If you’re happy with the LG UI and they support it through regular soft ware updates then there’s probably not a need. But, if there’s other reasons you might want it (Smart Home Hub, arcade games, synchronization to the ecosystem) then it’s definitely worth it. And if they stick with the time line we’ve been seeing lately, there’s a possibility for a new gen Apple TV this upcoming Fall/Winter.

Maybe we need to replace modem because modem 5G is not compatible maybe we need WiFi 6E ? Different network? And some devices will be unusable?

Wi-Fi 6E would be nice. Only one of my ATV’s or running on WiFi. The other 4 are all Ethernet.

After getting the whole apple shabang ( apple tv4k, Apple Watch Ultra 2, iPad mini, iPhone 13 mini, apple headphones) I’m not impressed. I rlly don’t give a dam. I wish I did, but most of these things I did not pay full price for… However my favorite product is the beats headphones😂😂 the pro headphones are great and I got 6 months of iTunes free! iPhone has my medical records and my door key… that’s all I’m here for is the security. Android all the way otherwise

Cool headphone feature... must use APPLE airpod. Cool inphone remote control... must use APPLE iPhone. Cool surround sound support... must use APPLE homepod. Yeah with this repeating pattern of Apple's Rapist Mentality forcing you to Apple rather than actually making a GOOD product that everyone wants, its a no brainer to skip on this Apple product.
