shredded my ultra and my 14 Pro Max for a iPhone 15 Pro and a series 10. They both definitely feel like a premium upgrade and in all honesty I don’t feel much of a difference in wearing them. I’m also 6‘5“ tall 265. So my ability to decipher whether it’s heavy on the wrist isn’t the same as the average person. It’s just a matter of preference choice and point of view in reality because if we’re being serious here, all of them run the exact same OS minus a few Watch Faces or minus a couple camera features. We are really being fooled every year. A millimeter of bezzel decrease doesn’t change the world in the use of your device.

@@mikebaker3712 the thing is, Masimo is still heavily focused on hospital equipments. The hospital business is not in Apple’s vision, which is why they also decided against a buyout. Apple will certainly love to buy the patent for the oxy meter though, but they know Masimo has the leverage right now. I guess Apple’s strategy now is to show Masimo that they can sustain the Apple Watch line without the oxy meter. High chance that Masimo would sell the patent for cheaper as time goes by.

Let’s put it another way, the Series 9 Stainless Steel was not in the same class as the Ultra 2. The 10 is now close, but for many the Ultra 2 is the better watch -- assuming the form factor works.

Had Ultra 2 Satin Black for 3 days. Returned it and bought Series 10 Jet Black. Ultra is heavy. Big reason I went series 10, was fast charging. 30 minutes and it’s charged.

Yea that sounds good, but in practice ..... the S10 fast charges to 80% in 30 mins. The U2 fast charges to 80% in an hour, which means 40% in 30 mins. The U2 has over twice the battery duration of the S10, so 80% of the S10 battery = 40% of the U2 battery. So effectively the same.

Both either way, I take off for same period of time. Ya know what’s not the same? I paid half the price for the Series 10, and it does everything I did with U2

Why do people make this more complicated than it needs to be? If you're into sports and exercise, go for the Ultra 2. If you just need it for general health tracking and notifications when your phone isn't nearby, the aluminum version-either GPS-only or cellular-is the smarter choice. Why? Because if you're considering the titanium Series 10, you're almost at the price of the Ultra 2. In short: - For notifications and general health at a lower price: Series 10 aluminum. - For everything else, including sports and exercise: Ultra 2. The titanium Series 10 is really only for two types of people: 1. Those who mistakenly think an Apple Watch is a status symbol (it’s not-get a Rolex or Patek Philippe instead). 2. Those who want something more durable than aluminum but find the Ultra 2 too bulky.

Went from a SS S7 to black U2 and love it. The 2 main noticeable differences to me are the battery life, and how much clearer the U2 screen is without the curved edges that bounce around all sorts of annoying reflections. Hadn't really thought about the reflections whilst being an S watch owner, but it's REALLY noticeable now.

I would agree with this except when it comes to Apple Watches. If you had a Garmin and one of these it’s more understandable, but these two watches are way too similar to spend nearly 2k combined. I fall a sleep with mine all the time and never notice or feel any discomfort. Only when I have official Apple Watch straps though, the ocean band is extremely comfortable for workouts and sleep. I got the new Milanese loop a few days ago and can’t get over how comfortable that is too. My non apple titanium straps start to get nippy and uncomfortable after a few hours, especially working out. The Milanese loop titanium strap doesn’t have any of those issues.

I’ve had my ultra 2 on since last night, changed it while I showed before bed, it’s 7:40pm and I’ve had it on for 24 hours. It’s tracked my sleep, I do alot of movement so it tracks my rings all day and it’s constantly tracking my heart rate and it’s at 56%. I love this watch so much. I’ll charge it in the morning when I wake up but I bet it would still be at least 30% and that’s a whole 36 hours with more battery to go.

To give another perspective on the charging, I charge mine in the morning, it lasts me all day, lasts all night through sleep tracking, I wake up with about 50% left and I just charge it again in the morning. Mileage varies, but this has been a good step up from my series 7.

You have been the only to truly sum up the watch differences, so I guess if you want a more rugged sporter version watch go for the ultra 2 plus you get a longer battery charge. For a more everyday watch that will gives you all the you need a lesser cost, but can be worn at all occasions, go for the Apple Watch 10.

I heard all about the new Apple Watch 10 and how amazing it is. I upgraded every year from the OG and when Ultra came out I got one. Did not upgrade last year because was very happy with Ultra. So brings us to the 10. Although was happy with my Ultra I looked at the 10 because all the reviews said it was much less. I beg to differ. Reason I have an Ultra is for the durability, size, screen, capabilities and battery life. I don’t have to worry about the Ultra getting damage when I am swimming or out working. So to get a 10 with that durability I would have to get the titanium which would not be less but more. Long story short I upgraded to the Ultra 2 black very happy.

I'm upgrading from the Ultra 1 and was really stuck on the Series 10 or Ultra 2 (In black) ultimately it was the battery and the Modular Ultra faces that sway me. Of course here in the UK we get the blood oxygen sensors on all watches, even brand new ones. It's nice having a feature the US doesn't have, normally the other way around (Apple Card and Apple Cash looking at you)

I stayed with the Ultra 2 because of the new color, battery life, action button and the durability. Mainly the color though, I’m losing the blood oxygen ability but I never really used it anyway. Besides, I have a dedicated one if I really need to take a reading. Apple will more than likely redesign the Ultra next year and I’m sure I’ll get it too. The Ultra is definitely more suited for an active lifestyle versus the 10. I still wish they could extend battery life to at least a week though. But I think they’ll probably just find a faster way to charge it like they did the 10.

The black titanium Ultra 2 is incredible. I swapped out my natural titanium Ultra 1 for the black Ultra 2, and could not be happier. I will eventually get the Milanese loops to dress it up for when the trail loop is just too casual. Having said that, I would also love to see what the Jet Black aluminum and Gold titanium Apple Watch 10 look like in person just to see what they look and feel like. Too many choices this year!

That literally happened to me order the series 10 on lunch day got it day one used it for this past week and I was so used to the ultra’s complication face. Even though the series 10 was slimmer or more feminine and more elegant. I just miss so many features about the ultra, not having to charge as much being able to run workouts and do multiple things and go full day without having half the battery dead. And I will say this for any woman with smaller wrist or women in general who think the ultra might be a little more masculine there’s so many positive features, especially if you’re outdoorsy and super active that you would want and it’s a definite go to especially if you’re doing a lot of these things by yourself. So in conclusion, I’m returning my slate titanium Apple Watch and since I already sold my ultra too, I’m gonna just exchange it for the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and black, which is arriving tomorrow.

I totally agree with you. I have an Ultra Watch 2 from launch day last year with the blood oxygen feature and I purchased a Series 10 in Rose Gold. I love the series 10 but, I continually go back to wearing my Ultra 2 most days. I love having all the features! Apple really needs to get that blood oxygen feature back on the watches. I check my blood oxygen frequently, and I miss it when I'm wearing the Series 10. Thanks for another great video!

I've had my original Ultra for about 2 years now and the battery is starting to diminish. I don't need the rugged or sports-related aspects of the Ultra, but at the time I appreciated the screen and battery most of all. I've been thinking about swapping out for the Series 10, but aside from the thinner body, it seems like a lateral move for an upgrade price. Perhaps the Ultra 3 next year?

I use the Ultra 1, still satisfied. Long battery life is a must have as I want to wear it at night and no need to charge it before. As long as the normal model won’t have a better battery life, I won’t buy a normal one anymore. However, i wish the ultra was a bit thinner/ smaller in body size.

I’ve had the ultra 1 for 2 years now. I got the 9 last year. I’ve had the Apple Watch 1, 2, 3, 4 and then jumped to the Ultra 1. All the regular Apple Watches broke at work. I work in the restaurant industry and bang that watch on coolers, tables, etc. The ultra has been nothing but perfect. I got the Apple Watch 9 last year to basically sleep with and I wear it on days off and workouts not at the gym.

I got an Ultra 2 at launch, and while I've really enjoyed it, the size was always bothering me. Especially with long sleeve shirts/jackets. I love the battery life. However, I wear an S9 while I sleep since it is lighter and much more comfortable, so I would end up charging the U2 overnight anyway. I picked up the S10 titanium and it is SO COMFORTABLE. The only thing that is making me hesitant to keep it is the lack of Blood O2 on the S10. Not something I use everyday, but it is more a "nice to have". I still think I am going to continue with the trade in of the U2, I just hope Apple settles this shit with the Bo2 soon.

I get my Ultra 2 on Sale ($500 ) 2 weeks before launching the 10 Series. And I don't regret. 2 and 1/2 days of use with one charge is priceless. I like Bulky Size. It's perfecto for me.

I’m going to keep my series 7 for dress and for sleep tracking since it does have the blood oxygen on it, and get the Ultra for day and workout use. That way the battery on both should always be good. I hate how I have to charge my series 7 in the morning, at lunch, and then again right before sleep so I can wear it all night long.

Sooo... I have a Series 6 Cellular that I bought shortly after launch, so 4 years old now. This summer, I have had to disable the Always On Display and turn off the cellular data to get all-day battery life (86% Batt Health) but still rocking all the sensor functions, including Blood O2. If you commute to work, this is the time to charge your watch! 20-30 mins in the car (or on the train, or your private jet, you do you!), even with the standard S6 slow charger, is enough to keep it rocking through workouts and sleep tracking.

The beauty of owning 2 Apple Watches: you can so easily switch between them that you need not ever go without wearing an Apple Watch. Wear 1 while the other is charging. I wear a Series 5 by day and a Series 3 at night. I don the Series 5 right before I workout so I have full battery for metrics. It might last only 8-12 hours with heavy usage, but the other watch is always ready to go. It’s a happily connected lifestyle. ⌚️❤️

You can use cellular watches to mirror your iPhone telephone number, or as independent cellular devices, although they still need to be paired with an iPhone for setup and updates. You’ll pay whatever your carrier decides for the cellular plan you pick for your Apple Watch. Also, cellular Apple Watches don’t need to use their cellular service. They can function just like Apple Watches that don’t have cellular capability. However, if you want to use the Family Setup feature to manage an Apple Watch for someone else, it must be a cellular watch (regardless of whether they use the cellular feature).

Thanks for the video. The series 10 might have a bigger display but I have noticed that the flat display of the Ultra 2 seems to have a sharper and more crisp display. The somewhat rolled off display of the series 10 in all of the videos I have seen, including yours, the display in the series X appears to be not as sharp and crisp? Also, I just purchased the all black Ultra 2, and with a black band it is amazing how this color makes the watch look less bulky and thinner.

I’m still using a series 5 that I purchased after the Series 6 arrived. When new, my Series 5 would make it through the day with the always on display. After some time passed, I had to turn it off to keep the watch going all day for longer days. Then I decided to use it for sleep tracking. Now, I have to make sure to charge it for at least an hour in the morning while I shower. Sometimes it needs to be charged a little bit in the evening to make it through the night. For now, it still works pretty well, but I will consider the Ultra 2 on battery life alone when it is time for replacement although the price will be difficult to swallow. The Series 10 looks nice too and it weight and bill were considerations, I would definitely consider that too unless ai just can’t swing the cost of the Ultra 2.

I am looking at getting my first ever Apple watch I am trying to decide between the series 9 or the series 10 or the black ultra 2 I am 59 years old and not a real tech jockey lol what i want it for is day to day watch the health benefits and the sleep apnea is a bonus but will it be available on all 3 of these watches with an update ? and to use it on the golf course for distances and to keep track of my steps etc which do you think would suit me or be my best choice between these 3 watches ? thx a bunch awesome review by they way cheers from Vulcan Canada

Apple watch 10 looks like any of the previous 10 series ... just a bit larger. Lack of design change lack of sensors - holding on my Apple Watch 4. the only reason I am looking to upgrade is because battery is degrading but otherwise Apple has stopped innovating on the Apple watch long time ago. very disappointed

I had the exact same revelation. I traded in my Ultra 1 for the Series 10 thinking the screen size and fast charging would eliminate advantage of the Ultra. I was wrong. The watch felt small on my wrist and felt like a kids watch? I took back the series 10 on Sunday and bought a black Ultra 2 and I love it. It feels like home. I missed the watch faces, the action button, and longer battery life. And I think it just looks more substantial and masculine on my wrist. I’m ultra for life now.
