With some tools and a little bit of patience it really isn't too hard. And is a great way to make money, you can buy the glass for about €2-€5 a pop from china, need a hot plate, and some other stuff, you can totally start this with about +- €100-€150 in tools and supplies. It gets waaaaay easier with a microscope, so you can see you are cutting the right glue layer. Customers are very happy with a fixed display for way cheaper than apple fixes it, it is enviromentally friendly, and because you are not swapping the display, you keep full Apple Pay functionality, that you otherwise lose with a display swap (if not done by apple) because that is paired to the display.

Great Video thanks! For how long do you let the glue settle in the clamps until you give it back to the customer? For cleaning the Display can i use Isopropyl instead of Acetone? For one Reparation I got vertikal white Lines on the Display aon the right side after it, even with doing it very carefully. I believe it must have been the isopropyl. Do you have any suggestions? Regardings!

What is the copper tapes function that you refer to? I see it connects to the frame in two locations. Mine has a break in the tape at one side. Is this a problem?

Do you still repair Series 2 and 3 or you only focus in Series 4 and 5? Because in Series 2 and 3 you have to pair the digitizer, and can't be done. Thanks for your video!

I wish someone did this repair near me. My Apple Watch series 1 has had cracked glass for 2 years, back then it was 200$ for a repair, the thing was 230 new. Now I can get a screen for 80$ ish and do it myself, but I can also get a new one for 200ish still. I would love to just get mine repaired.

It depends, I prefer LOCA because it’s more forgiving when centering the display. OCA only gets one shot at aligning it correctly.

Why not brake glass more with pliers like the series 4 so you can get the wire in easily ?

S N great question, not really an option with the series 4 and 5. The series 2 and 3 can be done with pliers, but the glass is to close to the display to do it without the risk of damaging the display on the 4 and 5.

FIXD Phone Repair I do crack them with pliers on series 4 seems to be ok. I got scared when the screen started bending when I did a series 5 yesterday without cracking more lol 😅 came out perfectly fine tho. I guess it all depends on what you are use to
