The Hermes edition is expensive relative to what the average Apple user is willing to spend. But $1,300 is chump change for people that routinely shop at Hermes. No matter how much you cry about it, there is a market for it. Apple wouldn't be selling these every year if there wasn't. Lots of wallet envy in the comments.

7:10 THANK YOU I feel so SEEN! Yes this product is for those of us familiar with HERMES. Hermes charges >$10K for a Birkin. So the price of this watch makes it great entry-level Hermes accessory. I'm excited to one day purchase an Hermes apple watch and get a better appreciation for Hermes's famous leather quality so I'll know if I want to move on to buying a luxury leather bag from Hermes.

Are you sure it’s titanium? In the Apple Store it says in their listing for this watch that it’s stainless steel. I prefer titanium due to allergy issues with the others.

@@PoetesssB I know people still using a series 4. The biggest limiter these days is battery health. If you keep the health up, you can easily get 4-5 years out of a watch. But if you’re dropping this coin on a Hermes Apple Watch, you’ll probably upgrade sooner.

It is also worth noting in your review that you can still buy the leather straps on the Hermes website. I understand why Apple doesn't want to sell leather products (though I don't really agree this is necessary to be carbon neutral), but they still allow Hermes to sell the traditional leather Apple Watches which look really nice. If I had one bone to pick it's that the Hermes Circulaire watch face does not get nearly bright enough in always on mode. Apparently it is because the watch face does not shrink down a little like the others, so they have to lower the brightness further than normal in order to prevent burn in, which is just silly if that is the real reason (shrink it down like all the other watch faces!). I had a series 7 and I would be buying the Hermes series 10 if I didn't fall in love with the Ultra so much (I have the titanium link bracelet on order and can't wait for it to come in).

Hermes Saddle makers so I kinda think one should buy with a leather strap. Making it a GBP440 premium over the Titanium with link or 400 for this strap or their rubber sports band, which I think is the best Apple rubber band. I know a couple of girls at work with Hermes, they liked the full on Hermes boutique experience, glass of champaign etc . Again if doing it, Hermes store is the way plus they do have the leather straps if you want one. I do think however that the new Titanium gold with gold link is a supper Bling choice (assuming you're going Hermes for bling) . I'm only reporting here what I've seen, me after trying on the series 10, all be it in limited options to try, I like the Ultra 2 in black, but ! don't think it's gonna hold up well. The natural looks too big on my wrist even if it is the same size. Still holding on to my Titanium SB series 5, though at 81% battery and no longer supported I was ready to go Series 10 but now holding out to see how the Ultra black holds up and then will probably wait for U3 . I would not be surprised if Ultra moves to a 2 year cycle. I would not mind if both series did alternate years then the watch you buy is new, current for 2 years.

The Hermès Ultra only gets the radial watch face and the HU exclusive regatta face and timer - no horsey, no circulaire, no Circuit H (one of my favs)… the band it ships with is nice enough but picks up lint like nobody’s business and isn’t as classy or as easy to use as the Kilim bands on the s9 and s10 Hermès, or the grand H. It also isn’t an exclusive case colour, being last year’s model in terms of hardware. So recommend the s10 unless you prefer the Ultra’s size, battery or extra ‘sport’ features.

It’s exactly the same as series 10 titanium. The only difference is it says Hermes on the bottom, a few different watch faces, and bands. You can also just get the Hermes bands and put it on the series 10. Why pay all the extra money for it to say Hermes where no one can see it and a few faces you can’t get on the other.

So the Hermes is. $550 premium over the titanium. The band is $350 if you bought it alone. That’s $200 off plus you get the second Sport Band, making it about $150 off. I’m NOT at all saying it’s a good deal or anyone should get one but it isn’t that far off than if you tried to buy them piecemeal.
