Thanks a lot Ashley. I find that if I do the steps as you do them (pausing the video), it sticks in my head much better. This is one of the functions that I felt should have been included from the beginning because they already have it on their embroidery programs, so why not here too? I'm so pleased to be able to use it without loading other programs just to change the shape. Good, clear instructions! Thank you. When I made my circle, I made it 5.10 rather than the 5.00 we started with and all the welding went perfectly provided the letters were positioned properly which saved a bit of editing.

I agree. If you want a 5 inch circle, then start with a 4.99...then at the end make the final one 5 inch. This is a very good video. I have done this in my other program for embroidery....glad to have it here as well.

I know you did this a long time ago but I wanted to try and let you know that you not only did a great tutorial but you also gave me a great idea that I used in my glass fusing. I cut 1/8" fusing paper and fused my kids names into glass trays/dishes for them. That part worked well so kudos to you. Thanks

Thank you so much for this tutorial...I'm new to.the scan n cut machines, but have two embroidery machines....I bought the SNC playbook to learn how to cut appliques with my machine, but its so much easier for me to learn visually. You have taught me everything I need to know ...I can't thank you enough....❤❤

Thank you Ashleigh, This was very helpful in explaining how to use the new function which i have only just had a chance to play with now. I changed my circle size to avoid the problems with the process overlap which worked well. I think I made it 5.05 or something. Thanks again as your instructions are perfect as usual. Cheers Shaz xx

Thanks for this tutorial! I wonder if changing the circle size to 5.01 or 5.02 would have prevented having to deal with the node adjustments?... this was super helpful! Thank you!!!
@applelover534 жыл бұрын
you need to play about with note only the size of the circle but the font too, you may well get varying results depending either of these, i just give you a guide and then you can play around with it yourself.thank you

I just tried changing the welding circle to 5.1" and it worked perfectly - didn't have to fiddle with nodes anywhere.

I received my 1st machine yesterday (this Disney one) & would have been lost without you...thank you so much! Just one question, I’d love to make stickers of sentiments...I’ve done it on this sticker paper through the printer before now but I struggle to use scissors hence the cut scan. ...how on earth do I cut text out similar to tim holtz as in not fussy cutting the letters but so I can peel off my words/phrases? I hope this makes sense!
@applelover534 жыл бұрын
Hi i dont know what you mean about Time Holtz, but you can add a shape around anything you scan, so that would work for stickers
@stephaniepaterson63404 жыл бұрын
applelover53 thanks for replying. I don’t really want to see the shape I just couldn’t think of a way to do it. I’ve just looked at your photos and the card on the how to make lattice video you’ve done has a happy birthday on it. I want to be able to half cut lines around my words like this...ideally a whole sheet (Tim Holtz sells sheets of sentiments like this on Amazon but I want my own words and fonts). I want to put them not just on cards but on tags, multi media, art etc..so...I mean an A4 size sheet of different words and phrases(my own) and then score around it with the cut and scan. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! I’m in England & you don’t know how excited I was to find you! Usually I can only find crafters I like in the US & whilst they are good the supplies they suggest aren’t usually available in the U.K....with you I can just click & buy.....I have my eye on those pens you were using at the moment!

Hi Ashley, I am from Argentina, I thank you for your video, very brilliant!. I have a problem and I hope you can solve it for me. In my canvas workspace for pc, there is no word curving function. Could you be kind enough to help me out?
@applelover534 жыл бұрын
If you are using the computer version and if you dont have the text on path icon i show in this video then i think maybe you need to update your programme. if you go to "help" at the top of the page and scroll down to look for "check for canvas workspace update" you should be able to update from there. thank you

if the welding circle had been slightly bigger than 5.0 would it have welded better to all of the letters?
@applelover534 жыл бұрын
Yes it may have done but it also depends on the font you use sometimes using a bigger shape encroach is more onto the words and then you lose the definition of the text you really have to play around with this function using different sizes and different text to get the best
