love or hate the new album, but we can agree that The Voidz are one of the bands out there pushing music boundaries. I rather listen to their failures than to other's successes (and I'm not saying this album is a fail. I didn't like it as much as I liked Tyranny and Virtue after the first listening, but I'm aware that I need to listen to it again a couple of times more before judging). Also... I would love to see Julian performing his solo album live. It has been left aside and there's great stuff there

Julian must be the most underrated composer in music. Dude wrote all the lyrics and MUSIC of The Strokes. Any guitarrist learning Srokes songs ( Albert and Nick's parts) can appreaciate his genius. He is also the complete package: decent singer, writes his own lyrics, plays instruments, good looking, makes quality music and has personality.

I’m really glad they put out an album. I love the singles “Did my best”is one of my favs but after some years since Virtue it’s nice for a collective of songs to be put out I missed em to be honest and an album is a great way to identify what they up to nowadays. I feel like Julian has been the chef d’orchestre of the music industry for well over 20 years at this point, he’s always been leading the way making timeless songs, making music of the time while evolving himself. The Strokes became legendary but The Voidz is incredible following in the same footsteps of becoming a legendary band, and it’s all due to the fact that Julian renewed himself like a phoenix, i feel like it’s unseen. Not everything about the Voidz is top class but I have a playlist building up and i feel like it’s my favourite music at this point. I don’t know who else managed to stay that relevant for the past 20 years aside from Julian Casablancas who’s definitely not appreciated enough, at least in my eyes
