Not even close and I'm a huge Julian fan. I woulda had no problem with you say the best of his era. Don't be the crazy fan. Josh Homme, Jack White are just as good, that's only from the 00's. Julian himself would slap you for that comment.

Bruh.... you can appreciate the artist without having to exagerate it... There have been SO MANY songwriters in rock n roll, there are so many songs... 'greatest of all time' is taking it way too far. I do believe he is up there with the greats though, that's for sure. There really is no need to overdo things and call him 'the greatest rock n roll songwriter of all time', unless you're 17

Listen to the bands that your favorite bands listened to! doing that helped me find the beatles, bob dylan, ravi shankar, john coltrane, jimi hendrix, the velvet underground. The Strokes were a huge band to me at the time I was a teenager they were popular, they were everything I wanted rock and roll to be. The only other people I knew in Rock that really had a huge influence on me was the first time i saw the white stripes fell in love w a girl lego video, the first time I saw Last Night/ Someday music videos, and when I saw Lenny Kravitz R U Gonna Go My Way? Video. That and the Foo Fighters All My Life and Queens of Stone Age No One Knows. I got Room on Fire the day it came out and was obsessed with it as a kids listened to their records tons of times, that and the ramones and floyd alot. The other new leading rock bands in the 2000s, like Green Day and others of course were all on my radar, but I wanna say that The Strokes were That Band for me because they reminded me of the ramones rhythmic approach but in a more relaxed carefree way. I listened to these albums as much as I listened to my favorite classic rock! Thanks for your music Julian! 🎸
