While there is no denying that Grohl is a great drummer, he was about the only thing musical about Nirvana. There were absolutely awful. It do not understand how or why they are regarded as such a great band. There really wasn't anything good about them. They made sounding bad, hip. It is really, really terrible. Bad songs along with bad musicianship is not something to aspire to be like, if you are an up and coming band. So in summary, as a musician, I feel that Nirvana set the music world back about 100 years. They were absolutely awful. Awful, I say!

Roxanne Moser It's incredible that people always have to talk badly about Larsˋ's drumming abilities and skills. First, it was Lars who founded Metallica. And Lars has given Metallica the sound Metallica should have and he is a fantastic song writer. He became known as a pioneer in fast thrash metal drum beats and later known through his popularity and drum technique (the double-major drum beat in song One) and many do not respect him today as a good drummer because the way he plays as he was very popular in the 80's you don't play that much anymore. Without Lars, no Metallica and I'm pretty sure he smiles and laughs all the way down the bank compared to certain others 🤘🏻

Lars is actually good at this, which surprises me. To be a good interviewer, you have to actually stop and listen to your guest speak, not talk over them, and be interested in their answers. Lars does this really well, and it doesn't typically come easy to people who are famous or celebrities themselves. Nine times out of ten, they're the ones answering the questions so they have little practice, and lets face it, Lars never met a microphone he didn't love. I'm very pleasantly surprised at how well he handles the host role.

@@likestoospooge Oh god. A band that had sold 70 million by the time it happened they're all millionaires and at the end of the day Metallica got big from people copying their demo tape and it reaching people. Napster was very beneficial to bands that were just getting going and able to reach more people because of the platform and the money bands like Metallica lost was minuscule. There was no stopping people from burning cds and giving them to friends, this was no different. The dumb part about lars was he may have "won" again Napster but everyone knew it was a losing fight. Look today you can find every Metallica album on KZbin download the audio and convert to iTunes in 5 minutes. With mp3 coming in it was inevitable that CD sales were going to be a thing of the past eventually. Lars and Dave are one of the best combos to ever exist. What an interview, what a vibe, pure joy just radiates from it. THANK YOU, YOU LEGENDS

Will any of Lars' previous/future full episodes be available on KZbin? I understand this one was probably a part of Foos promo train for the new album, but it'd be great to see more full interviews for those without an Apple subscription.

21:37 I find it funny when it cuts to Lars and then back to Dave he goes from being fully animated to just a dead stare

Great interview. Never realized how much Lars looks like Michael Keaton, especially with the reading glasses. Just saw Foo Fighters in Richmond last weekend. 3 hour show. Epic.

They look almost identical. Lars is Batman

There's a certain camera angle where Lars kinda look like Billy Joel too. Just without the beard.

During the "Stay at home" orders of the pandemic, I have rediscovered music not just music, but the reason that I listen to music. While I have greatly appreciated how personable Dave Grohl is and how fun Foo Fighters shows are. I have also rediscovered the Beach Boys and genius, Brian Wilson harmonizing songs. It is great to see the respect that both of these men have for Brian Wilson.

Metallica and Foo fighters should do a co headline tour next year in the states
@TheRonnie19867 жыл бұрын
Tyler Patterson that would be awesome. but both bands are too big and the audience of foo fighters go all the way fron the rocker dude to the I like pop guy. metallica's audience is new rocker dudes and old school rocker dudes. both bands are awesome but to big to be on the same stage. probably tickets would be really expensive

I love watching Lars as a interviewer. All these interviews he does from this to Noel Gallagher, Billy Corgan etc. Every one has such cool stories, laid back and very interesting. Great job, Lars!
