When you hear him speak, you realize he's not accidentally writing catchy lyrics. He is a catchy, eccentric person. Way more thoughtful than ppl realize, imo. This is why the book (and song) Scar Tissue is so good...He could literally write parts 2 and 3 atp.

Obviously the big news on Unlimited Love is having Frusciante back, and it's fantastic. The band sounds complete again. But let's throw some love Anthony's way. It's one of his best performances - lyrically, melodically, vocally - on an RHCP album. He's really matured as a singer, writer and performer. A lot of musicians drop the ball as the years advance, but some get better and better. I think Kiedis falls into the latter category.

I lost my Dad 8 years ago and it still kind of haunts me around this time of the year. It was interesting hearing Anthony talk about his father's passing and that experience. Certainly a different outlook than what we experienced however a welcome take on that. The idea of being and son and then being a father, quite a moment and potentially overwhelming at the same time. As i grow to a certain age i think about being a child and what it was like back then, what did i care about, what were my issues? It is overwhelming being in this moment in time of reflection - realizing that things turned out in many ways how they were supposed to. I was always along for the ride and never really in control at all. Everything you really need is going to happen for you if you are patient enough to let it happen. Zane couldn’t have described it better than it’s not just listening to an album. I started listening to them when I was around 5 or 6 with my dad I am now 28 and play bass because of flea , but there are so many memories with different songs. This album is incredible not just because john is back but you can tell all of them have just exploded with an insane amount of energy and chemistry that is very rare for other bands to have. Cheers to another great album

Great interview. Anthony can be guarded so it’s refreshing when the interviewer is a great listener and well researched into the person he’s going to chat with. Could of been double the length and wouldn’t of got boring

Oooh how I love this whole thing; the talk, the red hot chilli peppers come back I’ve been waiting for for year, the conversation , the smoothness of it all - just everything- perfect- Zane never fails

This album is an incredible return to form and sits up there with BSSM, Californication, By The Way and Stadium. Can't believe it.

@@billdjango yep, it's been leaked since Sunday or Monday. Personally im waiting till tomorrow to listen. I'm having this listening party with my best friends, were all huge fans and are gonna make a whole night out of it! :)))

It absolutely doesn’t. It’s stale and boring, uninspired and made up of things we’ve already seen from them. Particulatly the quality of a song just drops whenever Anthony opens his mouth. He never really adds anything to the music on this album

My favourite band, was on my bucket list to see them live I achieved this a couple years ago, it was in Auckland where the interviewer is from! I remember reading AKs autobiography and reading what he had said about my country blew my mind, seeing them live was a highlight of my life I remember feeling fleas bass vibrate through my body and I've never been the same since💕
