Movie was incredible, audio in the film is incredible. Story is gut wrenching and worthy. It’s long, but long because you want to live in the space it creates. Bravo Martin! Thank you!
@Akash-xb7cd Жыл бұрын
The motivation of characterswas not convincing. I did not understand why those women love white men even though they know they are the killers. There was no osage POV only White men POV.
@internetj3r Жыл бұрын
@@Akash-xb7cd very true and great perspective. They definitely should have spent more time on the native wives and sisters as apposed to the middle of the movie when the FBI agent comes in and flips the movie into a murder crime mystery. If you find yourself doing research on the tribe and the women of the tribe along with many other settler/colonizers you’ll find that white men and native men are vastly different in many regards so that could be why the native women liked them because they were vastly different regardless of the white mans bad nature and I’ll intent. Great comment btw, thank you for your insight 👍🏼
@dildonius Жыл бұрын
@@Akash-xb7cdThey didn't really LOVE them. In real life native Americans were not legally able to control their own finances. They would have white government agents assigned to control their money, but if native women married white men then those white men would get control of their finances. Which would give them a greater degree of financial freedom than they'd have dealing with the racist crooks who the government assigned to control their money. So they married white men more out of convenience than actual love. They also did not KNOW Hale & Burkhart and the others were responsible for the killings until the early-FBI finally arrested them and put them on trial.

We're lucky to have Scorcese still making some of the best films of his long-living, massively varied career whilst so eloquently discussing how cinema has changed, his influences and so much more. I don't think any other artist that can explain their craft just as well as they make it. One of the greatest for a reason. We're lucky he's still here
